CNN —Anthony Rapp testified Tuesday in a civil trial against Kevin Spacey about the emotional distress he says the actor has caused him. “Every time I saw him on the screen I was reminded, I could not escape that memory,” Rapp testified. “I wanted to tell someone what had happened,” Rapp testified. His first time seeing Spacey after the incident was during his brief appearance in the 1988 film “Working Girl.”“It was as if somebody had poked me with a cattle prod,” Rapp testified of seeing Spacey on screen. Rapp testified that he did not see a draft of the article and that he was concerned about public backlash for speaking out.

New York CNN Business —HBO has created a kingdom of hits, with none as popular as “Game of Thrones.” But “Game of Thrones” ended with a thud in 2019 when critics and fans were unhappy with the fantasy epic’s ho-hum conclusion (Bran Stark on the Iron Throne? Create more “Game of Thrones,” of course. Enter “House of the Dragon,” a prequel that takes place almost 200 years before the events of its predecessor and focuses on the Targaryen family. To put that number into context, season seven of “Game of Thrones” averaged 32.7 million viewers per episode, and season 8, its final season, averaged 46 million viewers. (It doesn’t hurt that “Game of Thrones” is pretty much like watching sports, albeit with more dragons.)

Estelle Louise Fletcher was born the second of four children on July 22, 1934, in Birmingham. The Fletcher children were helped by their aunt, with whom they lived in Bryant, Texas, for a year.

Forme de relief de pe Charon vor primi nume inspirate din „Star Wars”, „Star Trek” sau „Lord of the Rings”Oamenii de știință din cadrul NASA au decis să denumească regiuni și forme de relief de pe Charon, cel mai mare satelit al planetei pitice Pluto, după locuri și personaje din serii SF sau Fantasy celebre precum „Star Wars”, „Star Trek” sau „Lord of the Rings”. În conformitate cu regulile Uniunii Astronomice Internaționale (IAU), craterele și formele de relief de pe Pluto trebuie să primească denumiri inspirate din mitologia subpământeană (Pluto sau Hades — zeul lumii subterane, de dincolo). NASA nu este însă constrânsă de astfel de reguli în ceea ce privește alegerea unor nume pentru cratere sau vârfuri și lanțuri muntoase de pe Charon. Deocamdată, nume precum Vader, Skywalker sau Leia Organa au fost propuse pentru niște cratere de pe Charon, iar o uriașă regiune întunecată aflată în partea nordică a satelitului lui Pluto ar putea primi denumirea Mordor. Evident că noile denumiri trebuie să primească aprobarea IAU, însă oamenii de știință din cadrul NASA sunt optimiști, mai ales că IAU a aprobat deja denumiri precum Doom Mons (Mount Doom din „Lord of the Rings”) pentru un lanț muntos de pe Titan, unul dintre sateliții planetei Saturn.
