Federal cases in DC and FloridaTrump’s election victory is poised to have the greatest impact on the two federal criminal cases brought against him by Smith in Washington, DC, and Florida. A white supremacist is accused of trying to destroy an electricity substation in Tennessee in an attempt to bring down the regional power network and disrupt American society, authorities said Monday. The theory was popularized by manifestos left by perpetrators in a number of high-profile neo-Nazi and white supremacist terrorist incidents, including the killing of 51 people at two mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand, in 2019. Philippi drove to an electricity substation, along with undercover FBI agents, to carry out reconnaissance, the bureau said. While driving, he ordered C-4 explosives from the undercover agents, and at a later date he bought black powder intended to be used in pipe bombs. Philippi was arrested on Nov. 2 by undercover agents acting as co-conspirators who had agreed to be lookouts.

Activist Irenic Capital Management said Tuesday that it would back fellow dissident Starboard Value's push to dissolve the dual-class structure at Rupert Murdoch's News Corp , ahead of a closely watched shareholder meeting. Irenic wrote in its Tuesday letter to News Corp's board that while it opposed the dual-class structure, it remained supportive of management's efforts to "unlock immediate value." Irenic also wrote it believes the Murdoch family and other super-voting shareholders should be paid a premium if a conversion to a single-share structure happened. A vote to dissolve the dual-class structure at News Corp nearly a decade ago failed, although it was supported by 90% of non-Murdoch shareholders. Tyrek Hill, 25, and Timothy Schmidt Jr., 19, were killed Friday when a gunman opened fire shortly after 1 a.m. during a Halloween celebration, police said.
