"Dental providers should consult with the dental equipment manufacturer for appropriate methods and equipment to both maintain and monitor the quality of dental water," the CDC said. If left untreated, dental water can also breed other bacteria, including Legionella.

The pair left the shop as the fighting escalated, where Pedroza allegedly displayed a knife and stabbed Nunez in the abdomen and neck. Police in New York City are looking for three suspects who were caught on video swiping over $500,000 worth of high-end jewelry from a store in Manhattan Saturday morning. Video posted by the New York City Police Department shows the suspects break into Cellini Jewelers using a sledgehammer at around 3:30 a.m. Saturday. Shattered glass can be seen in the entryway of the jewelry store as they make their way in. Once inside, the suspects broke jewelry displays and stuffed the high-end goods into bags before running off. Police continue to look for the suspects and are offering a $3,500 reward to anyone who has information about the incident.

A cold blast could bring record freezing temperatures to more than 60 million people across the country this week. Freeze watches and warnings are in effect as far west as Colorado, into the Northeast and south to Florida, according to the National Weather Service. Temperatures of 35 degrees and colder are expected to affect all but a handful of states throughout the week. "This may be the first freeze of the season for many places across the Central Plains, Middle Mississippi Valley and Ohio/Tennessee Valleys which will impact sensitive crops/livestock," according to the National Weather Service. This cold front could break more than 50 record lows by the end of the week, with temperatures as low as 24 degrees in Minneapolis, 27 in St. Louis and 57 in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Carrasquillo-Torres also told the students about the "kill list," adding that they were at the bottom of the list. Carrasquillo-Torres was escorted to the principal’s office following the student’s report, in which the teacher admitted to making the statements to the student and having a kill list. East Chicago police arrested Carrasquillo-Torres Thursday morning at her home after an emergency detention order was approved, according to NBC Chicago.

A South Carolina man is in custody after allegedly fatally shooting three of his family members, including an Atlantic Beach councilman, according to the Horry County Police Department. The victim was identified by the Horry County Coroner's Office as 52-year-old Natasha Stevens, police said. Town of Atlantic BeachJames Dewitt II is listed as a councilman for the town of Atlantic Beach on their website. Also known as the "Black Pearl," Atlantic Beach is a historically Black community located just north of Myrtle Beach. The Horry County Police Department and Richland County Sheriff's Department are continuing to investigate the three homicides.

An 80-year-old California woman was mauled to death by two dogs while out for a walk on Friday morning, officials said. Soon Han was out for a walk in San Bernardino County when two Dogo Argentino breed dogs from a nearby home attacked her, according to a statement from the Victor Valley Sheriff’s Station. "Han suffered major injuries during the attack and was pronounced deceased at the scene," police said in the statement. The two dogs responsible for the attack are in custody of San Bernardino County Animal Care & Control, where they'll be held until the investigation into the incident is over. The Victor Valley Sheriff’s Station is encouraging anyone with information on the incident to come forward.

Hurricane Ian continues to strengthen as Florida and Cuba brace for strong winds and possible floods this week. Currently, in the western Caribbean Sea about 195 miles southeast of the western tip of Cuba, Ian has maximum sustained winds of 85 mph, with higher gusts, according to the National Hurricane Center. A hurricane warning is in place for the Cuban provinces of Isla de Juventud, Pinar del Rio and Artemisa while a hurricane watch was issued along the west coast of Florida from north of Englewood to the Anclote River, including Tampa Bay. The hurricane is forecast to bring 8 to 15 inches of rain to central West Florida, 3 to 8 inches to the rest of the Florida Peninsula and 4 to 6 inches to the Keys. Police in Florida are investigating an incident where shots were fired outside of a Chuck E. Cheese during an altercation on Saturday, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office. The sheriff's office received multiple calls about shots fired near the Hillsborough County establishment just before 5p.m. According to detectives, an altercation broke out inside the Chuck E. Cheese, but a security guard relocated the crowd outside into the parking lot. "At some point, the woman lost possession of the firearm outside of Chuck E. Cheese, while another woman picked it up and shot at least one round into the air," the sheriff's office said. During the altercation, a white Audi crashed into the Chuck E. Cheese, and two women and a minor were taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

One person is dead after an explosion sent eight people to hospitals and caused the collapse of a nearby building in Chicago on Tuesday, officials said. A group of Jackson, Mississippi, residents filed a class action lawsuit on Friday over the water crisis that left over 150,000 people in the city without access to clean running water.
