The discovery of nearly 100 migrants found stripped naked near the border between Greece and Turkey has sparked an angry dispute between the neighbors and calls for an urgent investigation. The two countries have blamed each other for the apparent mistreatment of the 92 men, after images shared on social media shocked people at home and abroad. “Turkey's behavior toward 92 migrants whom we rescued at the borders today, is a shame for civilization,” he said on Twitter. “We expect Ankara to investigate the incident and protect at last, its borders with the E.U.”Part of an image of the men that was shared by the Greek migration minister. Frontex, the European Union’s border agency, assisted in the rescue of the 92 men, some of whom had “visible injuries,” spokesperson Katarzyna Volkmann told NBC News in an emailed statement.
SAO PAULO, Oct 17 (Reuters) - A close ally of Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro running for governor of Sao Paulo, Tarcisio Freitas, said a campaign event was "attacked by criminals" on Monday in the Paraisopolis neighborhood of the state capital. Sao Paulo Public Security Secretary Joao Camilo Campos said that preliminary information suggested there had not been an attack targeting Freitas, although investigators had not ruled out any hypothesis. Officials confirmed a man was killed near the site of the campaign event, but provided no further details. During a visit to the 1st University Hub of Paraisopolis, we were attacked by criminals. ISTANBUL, Oct 16 (Reuters) - Turkey denied involvement in an incident where Greece found 92 illegal migrants close to its northern border with Turkey, Turkish Deputy Interior Minister Ismail Catakli said late on Saturday. "As you couldn't find one single case of a human rights violation by Turkey, you just seek to expose the image of your own cruelty as if Turkey did it," Catakli said on Twitter replying to a tweet by Notis Mitarachi, Greek Minister of Migration. Greek police said on Saturday that they have rescued a group of 92 migrants who were discovered naked and believed to have crossed into Greek territory from Turkey illegally. "One would expect a working explanation from the Turkish government's side," he told a Greek television station. Athens will soon extend a 40-kilometres fence along its northern border with Turkey to prevent migrants from entering the country, Theodorikakos said.

Analysts polled by Reuters had predicted new yuan loans would rise to 1.80 trillion yuan in September. New yuan loans totalled 18.08 trillion yuan in the first nine months, rising 1.36 trillion yuan from a year earlier, central bank data showed. Broad M2 money supply in September grew 12.1% from a year earlier, central bank data showed, in line with analysts’ forecasts in a Reuters poll. In September, TSF rose to 3.53 trillion yuan from 2.43 trillion yuan in August.
In July, Reuters reported that Brazil's Federal Police disapproved of Bolsonaro's gun policies, arguing they would put more weapons in the hands of criminals. Of all the weapons now available to Brazil's gun fans, the T4 has emerged as the weapon of choice for its gangsters. A common tactic used by gangs - as seen in the case of Huijsman's T4 - is to steal weapons from CAC permit-holders' homes. On Oct. 31, 2021, Minas Gerais military police and Brazil's Federal Highway Police carried out two raids against alleged bank robbers hiding out near Varginha, killing 26 of them. Marques, the gun expert, said Huijsmans' rifle wouldn't be the last legally acquired firearm to turn up at a crime scene.
Using assault rifles and explosives to turn rural towns into war zones, the specialized crews have netted an astonishing $120 million since emerging in 2015, think tank Alpha Bravo Brasil says. In a related article, Reuters tracked how laws pushed by President Jair Bolsonaro make it easier for gangsters to obtain assault rifles like those used in Uberaba. WAR ZONEAbout a week before the raid, the robbers rented an apartment near the bank to surveil their target. The thieves told them to run into the bank - no funny business or they would be shot - where they cowered as their captors worked to blow up the safe. Outside, 10 of the robbers stood with assault rifles in each hand.
Modern Marine Corps scout snipers are required to study their history, to learn from the outstanding snipers that came before them. Since 2017, US military service branches have been rolling out new M17 and M18 handguns. The M17 and the compact M18 variant are the latest in a long line of sidearms that US troops have carried into battle since 1776. This flintlock saw service in the War of 1812 and remained the US Army's standard-issue pistol for over 50 years. Two Model 1805s are featured on the US Army Military Police Corps insignia, and a similar pistol can be seen on the US Navy SEAL emblem.
