The group, which also fired ballistic missiles and armed drones at Israel, vowed to target more Israeli vessels. LONDON, Nov 22 (Reuters) - PetroIneos said on Wednesday it is preparing to shut down its Grangemouth oil refinery in Scotland to convert it into a fuels import terminal as it faces growing international competition. The 150,000 barrel per day refinery, Scotland's only oil refinery and one of six in Britain, is expected to continue operating until spring 2025, PetroIneos said in a statement. PetroIneos will soon start preparatory work to enable the future transformation of its Grangemouth refinery into a fuels import terminal, it said in a statement. The timescale for the shutdown is yet to be determined exactly but the preparatory work is expected to take around 18 months, with the refinery expected to continue operating until spring 2025. The plan includes converting the site of the refinery into a fuels import hub.

Representatives for Las Bambas did not immediately respond to requests for comment. The union had already kicked off a strike on Sunday, which is set to end Tuesday, over the profit sharing. The union, which represents more than 1,000 workers, is currently registering the strike set for Nov. 28 with the labor ministry, Ramos said.

Erick Ramos, general secretary of the Las Bambas workers union, told Reuters by telephone that the union is considering an indefinite strike from Nov. 28 if the company does not meet its demands. Las Bambas, which began operations in 2016 and is owned by China's MMG Ltd (1208.HK), is one of the largest copper producers in Peru, the world's second largest producer of the metal. A source close to the Las Bambas mine said earlier on Monday that the protest began on Sunday and that the strike was being "partially and peacefully" adhered to.

The automakers said internal brake fluid leaks can cause an electrical short that could lead to a fire. Kia said the Hydraulic Electronic Control Unit (HECU) in the vehicles may experience an electrical short as a result of brake fluid leaks. Hyundai said the Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) module may leak brake fluid internally and cause an electrical short. The September recall covered 1.73 million Kia Borrego, Cadenza, Forte, Sportage, K900, Optima, Soul Rio, Sorento and Rondo vehicles from various model years for each vehicle from 2010 through 2017.
