Costco shoppers are ditching pricey meat products for cheaper alternatives. CFO Richard Galanti said that some of its customers are ditching pricier beef products for cheaper meats such as pork and chicken. Others are bypassing the fresh meat aisle entirely and opting for canned meat and fish products. These products cost less than national brands and are a quick way for customers to save money on their weekly shop. As food prices have stayed high, some higher-income shoppers have chosen to switch up their weekly shopping routine entirely.
These drugs tame "zombie cells" which can contribute to age-related diseases. New drugs could clear harmful zombie cells from the body entirely – but research is still ongoing. Metformin is among a class of drugs called "senomorphics," pills that are showing promise taming aging cells known as senescent cells. These are cells in the body that have stopped multiplying, yet don't die—earning them the nickname "zombie cells." For the rest of us, Kirkland says "things like exercise and dieting can reduce senescent cell burden as well."

In Hong Kong, Moore joins Trinh Hoang, DLA Piper’s only other restructuring-focused partner in the office, who joined the firm from Linklaters in October last year. NEW YORK, April 11 (Reuters) - Bain Capital Tech Opportunities, the tech-focused investment arm of Bain Capital, has agreed to buy a stake in iManage, the enterprise software firm said on Tuesday. The terms of the deal, including the purchase price and size of the stake, were not disclosed. Founded in 1995, Chicago, Illinois-based iManage provides document management software and tools primarily to law firms, accounting firms, and companies in the financial services industry. April 3 (Reuters) - World Wrestling Entertainment Inc (WWE.N) will combine with Endeavor Group-owned (EDR.N) mixed martial arts franchise UFC to form a new, publicly listed entertainment giant valued at about $21 billion, the companies said on Monday. Hollywood power broker and Endeavor CEO Ari Emanuel will take the helm at the merged entity. In January, WWE said it would explore strategic options that could include a sale, shortly after long-time CEO McMahon's return to the company. McMahon had retired in July last year as the company's CEO and chair, following an investigation into his alleged misconduct. Co-CEO Stephanie McMahon, who single-handedly managed the mantle when her father exited, resigned a week after he returned in January.
Endeavor and WWE did not immediately respond to requests for comment on Sunday. The deal could be announced as early as this week, the sources said. Endeavor shareholders will own 51% of the combined company, while WWE shareholders would get 49%, the sources said. Endeavor is led by Hollywood power broker Ari Emanuel, who earlier this month declined to answer questions about a possible deal. In January, WWE said it would explore strategic options that could include a sale, shortly after Vince McMahon's return to the company.

HONG KONG, March 22 (Reuters) - China Evergrande Group (3333.HK) on Wednesday announced plans for the restructuring of its $22.7 billion in offshore debt, which could set a template for distressed rivals and shape investor sentiment on the country's embattled property sector. The world's most indebted property developer gave creditors a basket of options to swap their debt into new bonds and equity-linked instruments tied to two Hong Kong-listed companies, Evergrande Property Services Group (6666.HK) and Evergrande New Energy Vehicle Group (0708.HK). With more than $300 billion in total liabilities including offshore debt, Evergrande has been at the centre of a property debt crisis in which multiple Chinese developers defaulted over the past year, forcing many to enter debt restructuring talks. "The proposed restructuring will alleviate the company's pressure of offshore indebtedness and facilitate the company's efforts to resume operations and resolve issues on shore," Evergrande said in the filing. Evergrande, which began one of China's biggest debt restructuring processes early last year, said on Monday that a key bondholder group had agreed to its proposed terms.

Lamb said the pie, made by Kirkland, Costco's private label had a "perfect" combination of peanut butter and chocolate. A woman found a cockroach in her husband's chicken tender at Slim Chickens on their anniversary. Haile Kirkland said she tried to "quietly" address the problem, but had to battle to get a refund. The restaurant's owner sent her an email to apologize and asked her to remove a social media post. He told her to look at it and Kirkland saw "the cockroach cooked into the side of the chicken." Slim Chickens didn't immediately respond to a request for comment from Insider made outside normal working hours.
You need to know what you think will happen and then you can insert stocks into that worldview. I think this view, which Jay cares and is most likely going to get it right, is fundamental to my worldview. I think that's an absurd tradeoff and those who are making it, those who own 10-year Treasurys, are sorely ill-advised. Fortunately, I don't think the Fed has to go that far to break the trio. The companies you think might not make it I think aren't going to make it because they won't be able to raise cash.
It said it had received initial proposals from a number of counterparties but none offered an all-cash bid for the entire company. Cineworld said talks with certain stakeholders about a possible plan of reorganisation were ongoing in parallel with a potential sale of assets, but neither path would see shareholders recover their equity interest. Cineworld had a net debt of $8.81 billion as of June 30, 2022, including lease liabilities, while its cash reserves had dwindled to $131 million. Larger rival AMC Entertainment Holdings (AMC.N) in December had said its talks to buy some theatres owned by Cineworld had fallen through. Sky News reported earlier this month that London-based cinema operator Vue International, with support from two funds, would be among the bidders for Cineworld.
Google is asking cloud employees and partners to share their desks and alternate days with their desk mates starting next quarter, citing "real estate efficiency," CNBC has learned. Google also used its internal data it has on it its employee office return patterns to inform the decision, the FAQ stated. In addition to slower office return patterns, the company has slowed hiring and laid off 11,000 employees in January. A Google spokesperson explained, "Since returning to the office, we've run pilots and conducted surveys with Cloud employees to explore different hybrid work models and help shape the best experience. In the fourth quarter, Google Cloud brought in $7.32 billion, growing 32% from the prior year, considerably faster than the company's overall growth rate of less than 10%.
U.S. District Judge Paul Diamond's order in Philadelphia federal court granted a request by Unisys to depose Leon Gilbert and Michael McGarvey, former leaders of Unisys' "digital workplace solutions" business unit. Representatives for France-based Atos and lawyers for Gilbert and McGarvey did not immediately respond to messages on Wednesday seeking comment. Unisys in a court filing said that "this case involves the theft of huge quantities of Unisys trade secrets," including technologies and business strategies for digital workplaces. Attorneys for Gilbert and McGarvey disputed the allegation and said "Unisys has not identified a single trade secret." The case is Unisys Corp v. Leon Gilbert and Michael McGarvey, U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
