Artificial intelligence startup Sierra, co-founded by ex-Salesforce co-CEO Bret Taylor, is more than quadrupling its valuation to $4.5 billion in a fresh funding round. The San Francisco-based company, which was valued at $1 billion in January, raised $175 million in a funding round led by Greenoaks Capital. Sierra is focused on helping enterprises like home security company ADT , Sonos , Weight Watchers and Casper personalize and implement AI agents for customer service. Taylor describes Sierra as "conversational AI," and bristles at the word "chatbot," even banning the phrase in the company's downtown San Francisco office.

Denver Broncos wide receiver Josh Reynolds and another man were injured in a shooting last week after two vehicles followed them from a Glendale, Colorado, gentlemen's club, documents state. Two men, Burr Charlesworth and Luis Mendoza, were arrested in the Oct. 18 shooting, according to NBC affiliate KUSA of Denver, citing police. One caller said he was driving and had been shot, according to court documents obtained by KUSA. Reynolds was allegedly shot twice, once in his arm and once in the back of his head, KUSA reported. At one point, four vehicles were allegedly following the car Reynolds was in, according to the news station.

Musk, the CEO of Tesla and the richest man in the world, launched the sweepstakes on Saturday and his super PAC had named a winner each day – until Wednesday. The group has not provided any public explanation for the apparent one-day pause, and a spokesperson for the super PAC declined to comment. Federal filings show Musk has given nearly $119 million – including about $44 million in October – to America PAC, the super PAC he helped form to reelect Trump. He has said he hopes the sweepstakes will boost registration among Trump voters.

CNN —Police are investigating incidents of arson, vandalism and attempted burglary at a historic synagogue in Philadelphia that occurred within hours of each other Tuesday. Surveillance footage released by police shows the suspect standing inside the dumpster, then smoke coming out of the dumpster before it’s engulfed in flames. Then, around 6:30 a.m., two men attempted to break into the synagogue, police say. Philadelphia police are asking the public for help identifying the suspects in the arson and attempted break-in. The synagogue, which refers to itself as the “Synagogue of the American Revolution,” has “deep ties to Philadelphia’s and our nation’s founding,” the statement said.

CNN —Elon Musk’s super PAC didn’t announce a winner for its “daily” $1 million giveaway to registered swing state voters on Wednesday, the same day news broke that the Justice Department warned Musk’s group that its sweepstakes might be illegal. The super PAC has announced its winners each day to fanfare, with flashy videos posted to social media and celebratory tweets from Musk. It’s unclear if the Justice Department letter is why the super PAC didn’t publicly name a winner on Wednesday. CNN has reached out to the super PAC seeking comment. However, several election law experts who spoke to CNN pointed out that the fine print on Musk’s super PAC website explaining the official terms of entry did not change.
