Feb 28 (Reuters) - A panel of outside advisers to the U.S. health regulator on Tuesday recommended Pfizer Inc's (PFE.N) respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) vaccine, bringing it closer to becoming one of the first approved RSV shots for older adults in the United States. GSK (GSK.L), which is another forerunner in a crowded race to develop the first RSV vaccine, will face scrutiny from a panel of experts to the FDA on Wednesday. "The population where the vaccine is going to potentially have the biggest impact is less represented in this study," said Hana Sahly, one of the 12 FDA panelists. The FDA is scheduled to decide on the vaccines by May, and typically follows the recommendations of its independent panel of experts. Pfizer's vaccine was 66.7% effective in preventing RSV-related lower respiratory tract illness with over two symptoms, while GSK's vaccine was 82.6% effective in preventing lower respiratory tract disease in people aged 60 and over.

The US office's 75 employees could spend $200 a day on DoorDash food delivery – a total of $15,000. And when they realized Amazon didn't cover The Bahamas, deliveries were flown privately from Miami. After FTX moved its head office from Hong Kong to The Bahamas in September 2021, employees realized that Amazon didn't deliver to the island. In bankruptcy court, it was also revealed that staff submitted expenses through online chat platforms, which were approved with emojis.

SEOUL, Nov 1 (Reuters) - South Korea's exports in October fell the most in 26 months while a trade deficit persisted for a seventh month, underscoring that Asia's fourth-largest economy is slowing and its currency is hovering near 13-year lows. The outlook remains dark as the global economy is losing momentum on a global wave of policy tightening to contain inflation. A survey by S&P Global of purchasing managers at South Korean manufacturing companies also showed new export orders in October fell for an eighth consecutive month as the global economy is slowing. As a result, the country posted a trade deficit of $6.70 billion, bigger than a shortfall of $3.78 billion in September and the seventh consecutive month of imports outweighing exports. When the COVID-19 pandemic forced Argentinian energy company Ecogas to suspend in-person services for its 1.4 million natural gas customers spread across a distribution network of almost 30,000 kilometers, the company had to act fast to prepare for a surge in demand for its digital channels. Before the pandemic, in-person transactions were the primary touchpoints for energy customers in Argentina. However, Ecogas knew that digital channels could transform the customer experience, so they began a transformation to deliver seamless online and mobile service channels that allow customers to manage their accounts and pay bills. With in-person services suddenly inaccessible, digital channels became the primary customer touchpoint almost overnight. In fact, around 80% of our customers find the online and mobile channels so convenient that they prefer them to the in-branch experience."
