サマリー企業 Fosse is one of the world's most performed playwrightsAuthor was among bookies' favourites to winFirst Norwegian to win literature prize since 1928STOCKHOLM, Oct 5 (Reuters) - Norwegian author and dramatist Jon Fosse won the 2023 Nobel Prize in Literature "for his innovative plays and prose which give voice to the unsayable," the award-giving body said on Thursday. The prize is awarded by the Swedish Academy and is worth 11 million Swedish crowns (about $1 million). Fosse is the fourth Norwegian to win the Nobel Prize for literature, but the first since 1928. Alongside the peace prize, literature has often drawn the most attention, and controversy, thrusting lesser known authors into the global spotlight as well as lifting book sales for well-established literary super stars. Over the years, the literature prize has also picked winners well beyond the novelist tradition, including playwrights, historians, philosophers and poets, even breaking new ground with the award to singer-songwriter Bob Dylan in 2016.

Russia and Ukraine are using their air defenses to deny each other control of the air. The US wants to avoid that, and it's working on a new missile to take down enemy air defenses. Accounts of suicidal thoughts linked to this class of drugs are drawing increasing scrutiny, including an investigation by European regulators announced in July. More than half of the narrative summaries describe suicidal thoughts appearing shortly after the person started the medicine or increased the dose. Wegovy’s U.S. prescribing label, produced with FDA approval, says suicidal thoughts or attempts have been reported in clinical trials for other weight-loss medicines. Sanofi's Acomplia, which never won U.S. approval, was withdrawn in Europe in 2008 after being linked to suicidal thoughts. She said she has not experienced any suicidal thoughts on that drug.

A US Air Force aircraft fuels craftsman marshals a US F-16 at Rovaniemi Air Base in Finland during Astral Knight 23 Part 6 on August 23, 2023. The heavy airplane bombs are "particularly vexing" for air defense systems built to strike lighter targets. Hi-tech air defense missiles are designed to strike more lightweight targets and are ill-equipped to counter the bombs' old, heavy iron construction. This makes them a weapon that the latest air defense systems, like the much-vaunted US Patriot missiles, were not designed to combat, military experts say. The distance from which you can strike the enemy is low, forcing aircraft to fly into the danger zone of the enemy's air defense systems. They can reach a target of 30 miles away, out of range of most of the air defense systems on the frontline.

CNN —Presidential history is lousy with ne’er-do-well sons. American history tells us a different story: Bad presidential sons are as old as the nation itself, yet political opponents have never thought weaponizing them would win an election. If there is evidence that a sitting president, a former president, a presidential candidate, a presidential heir or anyone else, has committed a crime, he or she should be held accountable. “I never did in my Life know a Youth so exceedingly indolent, or so surprisingly voluptuous,” Jack’s tutor, Reverend Jonathan Boucher, wrote to George Washington. Devoted students of history would object to wasting precious time and resources on a nothingburger scandal about a president’s unelected son.

When the summer began, ChatGPT traffic suddenly fell. One hypothesis stood out: Millions of students went on summer break, so they didn't need ChatGPT to cheat — er, I mean research. Back when summer began, online search interest in Minecraft jumped, while ChatGPT interest declined. Their most common approach, instead, was to put the emergency expense on a credit card and pay it over time. If you do use your credit card, make sure you prioritize paying off the balance in full by the end of the month, she added. "Use your credit card as a 30-day bridge, but commit to paying that off," she said. HELOCs interest rates are generally lower than credit card interest rates. I was born in 1969 and I have feelings about generations. And, punching older, “Why is Eric Clapton on tour and Sinead O’Connor and Kurt Cobain are dead?” as the film critic A.S. Hamrah put it to me. Behold these recent tweets — I mean “posts on X,” formerly known as Twitter, run by a Gen X-er with whom I have no wish to affiliate myself, generationally or otherwise:“Gen X sucks.”“Gen X had it so good with their high income jobs with excel skills and 30yr fixed interest mortgages. This is why they make the worst leaders, ZERO empathy for the people that came after them.”We can all agree Gen X is the worst though right? I wrote to my millennial friend Sarah Hagi and asked her what she thought of baby boomers and Gen X.
