Atlanta CNN —Every October, World Mental Health Day tries to expand the conversation around mental health and brings awareness to the many ways you can improve your emotional well-being. I wish I could tell you a story about the exact point in time when I started to struggle with my mental health. It’s the most pure and honest relationship I’ve ever experienced, and for that, horses are a mental health tool I continue to come back to. Some studies show equine-assisted psychotherapy can help with a variety of mental health issues including anxiety, low self-esteem, addiction, trauma, depression and antisocial behavior. “You just come as you are.”The Stride Ahead care team spends time with one of the program’s therapy horses.

After touring Oxford during my semester abroad, I can see myself going to grad school there. I also took classes at the London School of Economics for six weeks — aided logistically and financially by the Yale study abroad office but ultimately organized by myself. Although I was only there for a few weeks, I was surprised by how much I enjoyed my experience with the UK school system. Plus, the opportunity to immerse myself in a different environment while learning about public policy would be invaluable.

AI mostly outperformed human executives in an experiment by University of Cambridge researchers. But AI wasn't as good at making decisions in unexpected "black swan" events. That led to AI getting fired by a virtual board of directors more quickly than humans. Because of that, AI got fired more quickly by a virtual board of directors than its human counterparts, which navigated unexpected situations better. When a "black swan" event occurred, the bot couldn't address it as quickly — or as well — as the human executives and students.

One patron pulled pricing data and found some wide differences between Chipotle locations. It shows that the same meal can cost up to 40% more at some Chipotle locations than others. "Me and my friends loved going to Chipotle," Cohen said. It's common for prices to vary at US restaurants depending on the cost of living where they're situated. A five-minute drive away, another Chipotle location was charging $10.95 for the same order when Cohen pulled the data.

Somebody said, ‘You should be nice sir, women won’t like it,’” Trump said, adding: “The women want safety.”He then described an apocalyptic America if he loses. While the economy was the ostensible theme of the rally, Trump went on an array of tangents. He went on a riff about billionaire ally Elon Musk’s “doing jumping jacks” at a recent rally with him in Butler, Pennsylvania. Ahead of Trump’s speech, Harris spokesperson Ammar Moussa said in a statement that Trump was “projecting weakness, not strength,” by sticking to safe environments. Debbie Hendrix, a Scranton native who attended Trump’s rally wearing a “MAGA” hat, said she’s cautiously optimistic but unsure Trump will win the state.

According to the lawsuit, these universities bilked applicants from divorced or separated homes by including the financial backgrounds of noncustodial parents when determining financial aid packages. The universities engaged in “a concerted action” to require that an applicant’s noncustodial parents, meaning the parent a student does not primarily live with, provide their financial information to be eligible for nonfederal financial aid, the lawsuit states. The universities generated financial aid offers based on an applicant’s custodial and noncustodial parents’ financial statuses. The College Board’s push to include noncustodial parents’ financial information began in 2006, the lawsuit says, and never included consideration for whether that parent would contribute to a student’s education. “This lawsuit has no merit and NYU intends to vigorously defend itself and its financial aid policies and procedures,” NYU spokesperson John Beckman said in a statement.

While Harris has gained ground on stewardship of the economy, Trump still leads in most surveys about the issue, which frequently ranks as the top concern for voters. The Harris campaign and Democratic allies believe she must erode that advantage and at least fight it to a draw. Tim Walz, argued in the recent debate that Trump’s economy was weak even before the Covid-19 pandemic hit. The economic issue is still Trump’s core advantage and one of the only reasons this race is as close as it is.”Still, Harris is performing better than Biden did on the economy against Trump. “People almost always say ‘I hate him but,’ or ‘I like him and’ — ‘but he did a good job on the economy,’ ‘the economy is better under him,’” she said.

It should put a damper on just how much we should expect the next president to accomplish, especially if the divide is between the House and the White House. There’s a big difference in just how divided government becomes, depending on whether the House and the White House are controlled by the same party or different parties. Two words send chills down the spine of any presidents who find the “other” party in control of the House: subpoena power. Both Trump and Joe Biden saw the second halves of their terms (after they lost control of the House) essentially paralyzed by an oppositional House. First, because California House races will determine overall House control, it could take as much as two or three weeks before we know the makeup of Congress in 2025 for sure.

The high sea surface temperatures that helped both storms intensify were 200 to 500 times more likely because of climate change, the report found. As Hurricane Milton barrels toward Florida’s west coast, a new report estimates how much more intense Hurricane Helene’s winds and rain were because of climate change. The sea surface temperatures that propelled Helene and Milton were 200 to 500 times more likely because of climate change, the report found. My husband and I were high school sweethearts but we married when we were 25. We took a $15,000 loan for our wedding that took us five years to pay. Finances have been a struggleDon't get me wrong — since we took that loan out, finances have been a struggle for us. But we paid off that wedding loan (yes, it took the whole five years), and we learned that no matter what kind of bind we get into, we will find our way out of it. Still, though, I wouldn't recommend taking out a loan for your wedding if you can avoid it.

A law professor said the ruling shows how antitrust law is used against Big Tech companies. Management and law experts told Business Insider the ruling highlights how antitrust law is being used against Big Tech companies — and could cost Google billions of dollars in lost revenue. Historically, he said, liberal judges tended to favor antitrust law more than conservative ones. When Epic Games' case against Apple was similarly appealed, the Supreme Court denied requests to hear it, leaving Apple with its partial victory. Doctors and social activists carry posters during a rally to condemn the rape and murder of a medic in Kolkata on October 2, 2024.
