CNN —Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump are tied among likely voters in North Carolina, while Harris holds a comfortable lead in Nebraska’s 2nd Congressional District, according to two new CNN polls conducted by SSRS. In North Carolina, Harris and Trump stand at 48% each among likely voters. In Nebraska’s 2nd District, the so-called blue dot encompassing Omaha, Harris has 53% to Trump’s 42%, the poll finds. An 86% majority of Democratic likely voters and 69% of independent likely voters favor keeping the current system, while 69% of GOP likely voters say they’d rather move to a winner-take-all system in the state. But just 41% in North Carolina say they’re very confident, rising to a 59% majority in Nebraska’s 2nd District.

The Georgia state election board on Friday voted 3-2 to require counties to hand-count ballots cast on Election Day, a move that could drastically lengthen the amount of time to tally results in a critical battleground state. Number one is the actual counting of the number of ballots that you have at the precinct. Kate, wife of Prince William, the heir to the British throne, attended a private meeting at Windsor Castle, according to the Royal Circular, a daily briefing of royal activities published in the Times of London newspaper. The Royal Foundation is the main philanthropic vehicle for William and Kate, supporting community groups that work on early years education, homelessness and conservation projects. The princess has appeared in public since she revealed she was undergoing cancer treatment in March, including at the men’s final at Wimbledon in July. It emerged in February that Charles himself was receiving cancer treatment.

Kate, 42 – who is married to the heir to the British throne, Prince William – resumed work by hosting a meeting at Windsor Castle on Tuesday. Kate had been receiving a course of chemotherapy for an unspecified form of cancer since February and has only made a few public appearances in the months since. During her treatment, Kate is known to have been working from home, taking meetings with her team and representatives from her early-years center. She is also expected to attend the annual Remembrance Day service at the Cenotaph in London in November, honoring those who have served in war.

The University of Tennessee is raising its season ticket prices by 10% across all its sports to prepare for athletes to start to get a cut of the school's sports revenue, according to an email sent to football season ticket holders on Tuesday. Tennessee is calling its hike a "talent fee," and said it "will help fund the proposed revenue share for our student-athletes," according to the email. Athletic departments have been gearing up for revenue sharing after a proposed settlement involving three cases the NCAA is named in. "As the collegiate model changes, we have to remain flexible," Tennessee Athletic Director Danny White said in a video included in the email. Star athletes have been able to sign big endorsement deals, but universities have not started direct revenue sharing, which would benefit more student-athletes.
