In 2023, the fund returned 30.7%, significantly outperforming its benchmark and the S & P 500, which was up 26%. Yiu's decision stems from his belief that Microsoft's business model is about to change significantly in light of the rise of generative AI. Microsoft has been leading the charge in generative AI adoption. The crux of the issue lies in the increased costs associated with providing AI services, according to the outperforming fund manager. Nvidia's chips, while readily available, allows the Silicon Valley company to capture much of the profit from generative AI services instead.

Let's dig into what this pattern represents, and what key price level investors should be watching for in the days to come. This week's sell-off could result in the formation of the right shoulder, completing the set-up of this bullish price pattern. Further price support could emerge at the 61.8% retracement level using the March to September rally as a framework for the analysis. Note how this neckline lines up almost perfectly with the 38.2% Fibonacci retracement level using the framework described above. Other Magnificent 7 stocks Interestingly enough, Alphabet is not the only Magnificent 7 name testing its 200-day moving average this week.

Of the 175 key ETFs that we track, just one made a new all-time high on Tuesday – the iShares Expanded Tech-Software Sector ETF (IGV) . IGV, thus, was the first major technology ETF to hit new highs after a very turbulent past few months. Before Tuesday, IGV's last all-time high happened way back in November 21 (nearly three years ago), when the ETF hit an intra-day high of $89.76. For some context, while the SPDR Technology ETF (XLK) hit a low on the same day in November 202222, its snapback unfolded much more quickly. XLK hit a new all-time high way back in July 2023 and has kept going.

I am going to explore an interesting trade set-up using three exponential moving averages to identify a restaurant stock that will continue to trend downward. Looking at the one-year daily chart of Olive Garden-parent Darden Restaurants (DRI) , you'll notice the stock has faced resistance around the $175 level and is currently in a downtrend. I've highlighted several instances over the past year where the 10-day EMA crossed either above or below the 21-day EMA. The trade Building on this analysis, I'm considering a bearish strategy on DRI, using a trade structure known as a bear put spread. Adding 10 contracts to this trade risks $2500 to make $2500 and provides a robust ROI for the capital risked.

Tax-loss harvesting is a common year-end method used by investors and money managers to minimize taxes.
