CNN —Astronomers using the Hubble Space Telescope have detected water molecules in the atmosphere of a small, blazing-hot exoplanet 97 light-years from Earth. The planet, named GJ 9827d, is about twice Earth’s diameter, and it’s the smallest exoplanet found to have water vapor in its atmosphere, according to a new study. Starlight filtering through the planet’s atmosphere helped astronomers measure the signature of water molecules. It’s possible that the planet is a mini-Neptune with a hydrogen-rich atmosphere that contains water vapor. Or astronomers suspect that GJ 9827d could be a warmer version of Jupiter’s icy moon Europa, which contains an ocean beneath a thick, icy crust.

Despite what its marketing might suggest, “Mean Girls” (in theaters), the latest in a set of pink-accented nesting dolls, is irrefutably a movie musical. Adapted from the 2018 Broadway musical, which was itself based on the 2004 film, which was in turn inspired by the 2002 nonfiction book “Queen Bees and Wannabes,” this new version has singing. It has one delectable moment in which the members of the school marching band raise their saxophones and tubas high. Barring a split-second shot of the band, you wouldn’t know that from the film’s trailers. It was made to look instead like a vaguely edgier remix of the 2004 film.

"Your overall wealth really starts with behavior and your budget," Howard says. But 29-year-old Alexis Howard has been doing it for over 10 months, ever since she challenged herself to limit her non-essential spending to $50 each month. Essentials like rent, utilities, groceries and medical costs aren't included in Howard's $50 limit. "What I've really tried to stress on this challenge is that just because you have a tight budget doesn't mean you can't engage with your loved ones, doesn't mean you can't go to free events, doesn't mean you can't substitute quality time with people that matter to you," she says. But she's still spending considerably less than she would in a normal month living in the Bay Area, where she estimates her non-essential spending used to total around $400 to $500.
