Trump and Harris have different reasons to try to attract the crypto community — donors, voters, the fact that the former president likes anyone who flatters him, etc. All of Trump's courting of the crypto industry is possible because Democrats left open an opportunity for him to pounce. In September, he unveiled his own crypto venture, World Liberty Financial. The crypto industry doesn't mind the attention it's getting from policymakers. What Harris or Trump will actually do on crypto is unclear, but that's not really the point right now.

As a federal criminal investigation hangs over former World Wrestling Entertainment CEO Vince McMahon, a new documentary series on Netflix offers a rare look at the man credited with turning professional wrestling into a cultural juggernaut. The series only briefly touches on the lawsuit filed against McMahon in January by former WWE employee Janel Grant, who accused him of sexual abuse and trafficking. Grant, who filed the suit against McMahon this year, did not participate in the documentary, according to her attorney, Ann Callis. McMahon,” the on-screen character that was born during the late 1990s “Attitude Era” of WWE, which was known for pushing into R-rated territory. When McMahon is asked in the fourth episode of the Netflix series what similarities he has with the Mr. McMahon character, he responds, “None whatsoever.” But in the sixth episode, he admits some overlap.

A California firefighter was arrested on suspicion of arson in a series of small fires that burned in wine country in recent weeks, officials said Friday. Robert Hernandez, 38, was accused of setting five fires between Aug. 15 and Sept. 14 while off-duty, the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, or Cal Fire, said in a news release. Hernadez, a Cal Fire apparatus engineer, allegedly ignited the blazes around Geyserville, Healdsburg and Windsor, the department said. More than 4 million acres burned across the state in 2020, setting a record for the largest number of acres burned in California in modern times, the department said. So far this year, nearly one million acres have burned, including fast-moving blazes in Southern California that threatened tens of thousands of homes and prompted thousands of evacuations in the foothills of San Bernardino County.

The Miami Dolphins will place quarterback Tua Tagovailoa on injured reserve, sidelining him for at least four weeks, the team announced Tuesday. Tagovailoa suffered a concussion during the Dolphins’ 31-10 loss to the Buffalo Bills in Week 2. This is at least the third concussion Tagovailoa has sustained during his time in the NFL. CNN —The Miami Dolphins placed star quarterback Tua Tagovailoa on the reserve/injured list (IR) Tuesday following his latest concussion. Per NFL rules, Tagovailoa’s earliest return to competition would be Miami’s home game against the Arizona Cardinals on October 27. Tagovailoa was forced off the field during the Dolphins’ 31-10 loss against the Buffalo Bills on Thursday after diving for a first down and taking a hit from Bills safety Damar Hamlin. Third-year quarterback Skylar Thompson, who replaced Tagovailoa in the loss against the Bills, is expected to start versus the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday. The Dolphins announced Tuesday that the team had signed quarterback Tyler Huntley off the Baltimore Ravens’ practice squad.

CNN —Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has been “smiling with his teammates” and taking things “day by day” as he recovers from his latest concussion, according to head coach Mike McDaniel. McDaniel comforts Tagovailoa after the quarterback's latest concussion. CNN contacted Tagovailoa’s representatives about the report but did not hear back, while the Dolphins declined to comment. “I think it’s of utmost priority of mind for Tua to speak on Tua’s career,” said McDaniel. After guiding the Dolphins to the playoffs last season, Tagovailoa agreed to a four-year contract extension in the offseason, reportedly worth $212.4 million.
