New York CNN —Elwood Edwards, a behind-the-scenes graphics and camera operator at local Cleveland television station WKYC whose voice was propelled to worldwide fame after he recorded AOL’s email greeting, ‘You’ve Got Mail,’ has died, according to his former employer. More than 30 years ago, Edwards recorded four iconic lines for what was then a little-known company called America Online. His wife, Karen, worked at Quantum Computer Services, which eventually became AOL, Edwards said in an AOL YouTube video in 2012. She volunteered her husband, and Edwards recorded the phrases on a cassette deck in his living room. “I didn’t enjoy being on camera as much as I enjoyed being behind the scenes,” Edwards said on the podcast.

CVS Health on Wednesday reported mixed third-quarter results as higher medical costs squeezed its bottom line. The earnings report is CEO David Joyner's first at the helm of the troubled retail drugstore chain. Key ports on Canada's West Coast, including its largest container port in Vancouver and the Port of Prince Rupert, were shut down by a labor strike on Monday. According to the Greater Vancouver Board of Trade, $800 million in trade flows through West Coast ports every day. Montreal processes 40% of all East Coast container traffic. Approximately $572 million in container trade arrives daily in the U.S. from Canada, according to U.S. Census data. A temporary loss of the Canadian West Coast trade gateway could push carriers to discharge import cargo along the already strained U.S. West Coast, said Alan Baer, CEO of OL USA, further increasing the dwell time of containers and elongating overall transits.
