It is a new challenge for formerly government-owned Air India, which Tata Group took over last year. The CCI, Air India and Vistara did not immediately respond to requests for comment. To address the CCI's concerns, Air India could make concessions such as giving up certain routes or reducing frequency, the second source said, adding that Air India remains confident the matter can be resolved by recommending certain changes. Vistara and Air India both fly on international routes such as London and Dubai and would need antitrust clearances in other jurisdictions, the first source said. Air India is expecting similar queries from foreign countries once it applies for clearance there, but is waiting for the India process to first close, the source added.

On a sprawling Martha’s Vineyard estate not far from the seashore, Deici Cauro adjusted a baseball cap to keep the burning sun at bay. She was crouching to pull weeds with her bare hands when a familiar voice called out from the other side of the yard. “Pots!” her employer called, and she motioned for Ms. Cauro to follow her to another garden nearby. “¿Vamos?” Ms. Cauro replied in Spanish, wondering if they had decided to move. “Sí, vamos, I guess, whatever that means,” her boss replied, prompting both women to share a hearty laugh.

June 21 (Reuters) - The Australian Competition Tribunal has upheld a decision to block a network sharing agreement between wireless internet firms Telstra Group (TLS.AX) and TPG Telecom (TPG.AX), TPG said on Wednesday. The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) had ruled against the plan in December, saying it would bring "a real risk that TPG and Optus will invest less in critical infrastructure". Optus, the country's No. 2 wireless internet provider and which is owned by Singapore Telecommunications (STEL.SI), had opposed the deal, saying it would build Telstra's market dominance. HONG KONG, June 21 (Reuters Breakingviews) - Global airlines are setting drawn out timelines to a full recovery. Some carriers, particularly in Asia, think they will only fly at or over pre-pandemic capacity levels in 2024 or later. Airlines didn’t rehire quickly enough to support the sudden recovery in demand and are now overpromising and underdelivering. Asian hub carriers like $16.5 billion Singapore Airlines (SIAL.SI) are particularly strained. Singapore Airlines, for example, posted a record net profit of S$2.2 billion ($1.6 billion) for the financial year ended March.

CNN —At the heart of the case of “United States of America v. Donald J. Trump and Waltine Nauta” are 31 classified documents that former President Donald Trump kept at his Mar-a-Lago club, each briefly described in the indictment against him. Peter Bergen CNNTrump has pleaded not guilty to the charges and given a variety of defenses for his handling of the documents. London and Stout walked me through what can be learned about the documents in the indictment. London then explained a point I hadn’t fully considered before: “Documents are classified to protect the sources so that we can continue collecting that information and protect the sources who are doing it. The fiasco at Mar-a-Lago that is alleged in the indictment against him suggests that Trump could care less about this fundamental duty.

Some 31 classified documents are at the epicenter of the Trump indictment. We can glean a lot about what Trump kept from the prosecutor's descriptions and the classification marks. There are 31 classified documents recovered by FBI agents that are at the epicenter of the case. But right after the TOP SECRET classification level, two other access codes were redacted by prosecutors. Federal prosecutors listed 31 highly sensitive documents they recovered via an FBI search of Mar-a-Lago in August, 2022.

Experts have mixed reactions on whether the budget will meet IMF requirements and the impact on the economy. Will retailers and the agri sectors that together contribute 40% contribute more than 2% as a result of the budget? Air India, which is revamping itself under new owner Tata Group, has been rapidly growing its international presence with new non-stop flights to Europe and the United States. Being able to use Russian airspace has come as a boon as it looks to capture a bigger share of the market. IATA Director General Willie Walsh called for an opening up of Russian airspace. May 29 (Reuters) - Singapore Airlines Ltd (SIAL.SI) and Garuda Indonesia (GIAA.JK) plan to enter into a joint venture (JV) to increase passenger capacity between the two countries, the flag carriers said on Monday, as post-COVID tourism in Southeast Asia ramps up. The proposed JV would allow the carriers to potentially synchronise schedules, improving passengers' connectivity and convenience, and explore new initiatives, including joint fare products and an alignment of corporate programmes, they said. The plan will cover routes between Singapore and Denpasar, Jakarta, and Surabaya, and deepen the existing cooperation between the two carriers. "This joint venture ... reflects our firm commitment to grow the aviation markets in Indonesia and Singapore, facilitating a greater level of business and people connections and promoting both countries as regional tourism destinations," said Goh Choon Phong, chief executive officer of Singapore Airlines. Archeologists excavated the cesspits below two toilets from Iron Age Jerusalem. At the time, Jerusalem was the capital of Judah — a vassal state under the control of the Assyrian Empire. "Toilets with cesspits from this time are relatively rare and were usually made only for the elite," Mitchell said. The study suggests the "long-term presence" of the disease across the Near East. Indeed, medical texts from the first and second millennium BC describe diarrhea afflicting the Near and Middle East populations.
