Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan Chase and Morgan Stanley have been hired as lead underwriters on the offering, and Shein could go public sometime in 2024, the sources said. Shein has been planning to go public for the last few years, but halted plans almost twice since then. The fast-fashion giant's decision now comes at a time when the broader market for new issues remains laggard. Fast fashion retailers have been gaining popularity in the United States, with Shein taking away market share from the likes Gap (GPS.N) as shoppers look for fresher styles and trendier clothing. Shein's confidential IPO was first reported by the Wall Street Journal earlier on Monday.

More startling, though, is that the movie is also often eccentric and at times eccentrically funny. You expect refined craft and technique from Scott and the pleasures of spectacle filmmaking at its most expansive. It opens in Paris amid that convulsion of violence called the Terror, with surging, shouting crowds and the metallic hiss of the falling guillotine blade. Aristocrats are losing their heads (Scott re-creates one execution with gory verisimilitude), and Napoleon Bonaparte — a mesmerizing, off-kilter, lumpish Joaquin Phoenix — will soon profit from the chaos. Before long, the story has jumped forward and now Napoleon is in the southern French port city of Toulon, where he strategically routs the Anglo-Spanish fleet that has taken the city.

The deal to acquire investment firm Carlyle's (CG.O) 28% holding in the burger chain's China business, which also includes its stores in Hong Kong and Macau, will see McDonald's stake rise to 48%. Since 2017, the number of McDonald's stores in China has doubled to 5,500 and the country has become its second-largest market. McDonald's made an unsolicited offer for Carlyle's stake in the China operations in recent weeks and the deal was struck quickly, said the sources. Reuters reported in August that Trustar Capital was planning to raise a continuation fund that would allow the Chinese private equity firm to sell down its stake in McDonald's China. In contrast to McDonald's, U.S. meat and processed food maker Tyson Foods (TSN.N) plans to sell its China poultry business, sources have said.

As the 2024 presidential campaign heats up, experts on extremism fear the threat of politically motivated violence will intensify. Trump's loss to Democrat Joe Biden in the 2020 election did not end the spread of QAnon-influenced conspiracy theories or its unrealized prophecies. “In 2020, millions of people were radicalized on behalf of this conspiracy theory. Initially, Kohli was part of batting's "Fab Four" alongside England's Joe Root, Australia's Steve Smith and New Zealand's Kane Williamson. While others have faded somewhat recently, Kohli has been burning brightly, and pulling ahead of his peers. The elegant right-hander ended that drought in September last year and has been at his prolific best at the current World Cup, where he is the runaway top-scorer with 711 runs from 10 matches including three centuries. "And to do it on the biggest stage - in the World Cup Semi-final - and at my home ground is the icing on the cake." Congratulations emperor," the bowling great wrote after Kohli's Mumbai masterclass.

For many New Yorkers, the city’s subways are the performance spaces they encounter most often. Everyday, dancers and musicians put on a subterranean revue that uses mass transit as a stage. In recent years, this moving festival has included “Subway Mania,” an homage to one of professional wrestling’s most popular period: the late 1990s to early 2000. The scene caught the attention of Shyama Venkateswar, 57, who was on her way home to Forest Hills, Queens. Her sons, now young adults, had watched World Wrestling Entertainment shows growing up, she said, so she followed the wrestlers aboard the train and abandoned her trip home.

India arrived at the Wankhede Stadium, where they lifted their second and last World Cup trophy in 2011, looking invincible, winning all nine round-robin matches without any stiff challenge, including a four-wicket win over New Zealand. India had also exited the 2015 edition of the 50-over World Cup at the semi-final stage with a defeat to Australia. "Today being the semi-finals, I wouldn't say that there was no pressure," India captain Rohit Sharma told host broadcaster Star Sports, adding that the team wanted to treat the match as just another round-robin game. MUMBAI, Nov 15 (Reuters) - New Zealand captain Kane Williamson on Wednesday heaped praise on India after losing the World Cup semi-final at the Wankhede Stadium, saying the unbeaten hosts were simply the best side around and were playing outstanding cricket. Williamson was proud of his team's fight during the chase but had no qualms in giving credit to India, who have won all their 10 matches in the tournament. "India are playing seriously good cricket, they're a class side at the top of their game and to come out in a semi-final and continue and repeat what they've been doing throughout this competition shows where they're at as a team," Williamson told reporters. "They're the best team in the world and they're all playing their best cricket, so that's tough. Harry Kane continues scintillating form at Bayern Munich

CNN —It’s safe to say that Harry Kane is enjoying life in Germany. The England captain made his high-profile move from boyhood club Tottenham to Bayern Munich in August and he hasn’t looked back. No player has scored more after 11 Bundesliga games, with Bayern’s former talisman Robert Lewandowski holding the previous record of 16. Kane, the league’s top scorer, also has four goals in the Champions League with Bundesliga leaders Bayern yet to drop points in the group stage. “It is impressive,” Bayern Munich’s sports director Christoph Freund said, per Reuters, after Kane’s double in the team’s 4-2 win against Heidenheim.

"It is impressive," beamed Bayern sports director Christoph Freund after Saturday's double in their 4-2 victory over Heidenheim. Kane already has more goals after 11 Bundesliga matches than last season's top scorers had in the entire campaign. Kane has also scored four times in four Champions League group matches, with Bayern having already secured a spot in the knockout stage with two games to spare. "I believe he can do anything," said Bayern team mate Thomas Mueller. Club bosses are equally delighted with Kane's goal bonanza, saying the move was the right one for both Bayern and the title-starved Kane.
