CNN —“Chicago Med” star Marlyne Barrett is opening up about her battle with uterine and ovarian cancer. “The initial experience was a shock, a shock to my womanhood,” she said. “When my character went through breast cancer, I had a sea of people reach out to me through social media. “I found this courage and I just hunkered down and said, ‘I’m going to face this,’” she said. “We as human beings are so scared to face the mortality of life, or to even pronounce the word cancer,” she said.

Flack, one of thousands who decided to flout official evacuation orders and ride out Hurricane Ian, was not worried about her safety. Some 2.5 million coastal residents and others in danger zones around Tampa, Ft. Myers and nearby communities were ordered or encouraged to evacuate ahead of the massive storm. But many did not, with some simply vowing to ride it out and others unable to leave for financial or other reasons. Nearby, residents of an assisted living facility also decided to ride out the storm in a new building meant to withstand the most severe hurricanes.

Time spent with mobile increased by an average of 31 minutes per US adult in 2020, reaching 4 hours and 16 minutes. Nearly a third of their daily time spent with media will be on mobile. Prior to the pandemic, we expected growth in mobile time spent to slow and level off within a few years. Mobile will account for close to a third (33.2%) of time spent with any form of media in 2021. In 2019, the number of adult smartphone users grew 4.1% YoY.

Jim Newman, chief operating officer at Figo Pet Insurance, bought and sold stock in companies that either soared or sputtered during the pandemic, including Pfizer and Moderna, the companies behind the nation's two leading COVID-19 vaccines. Financial disclosures show Jim Newman sold up to $65,000 in Moderna stock on January 2. By February, he turned his interest to Pfizer, twice trading as much as $15,000 worth in the company's stock shares that month. For instance, Newman sold as much as $250,000 in Netflix stock in January, as much as $50,000 in Apple stock in February, and as much as $50,000 in Salesforce stock in January.
