What's more, many pharmacies serve as a convenient destination for all sorts of essentials, from aspirin to mascara. Big chains like Walgreens and CVS make their money in two main ways: selling prescriptions in the back of their stores and selling everyday goods out front. As Walgreens and CVS stores have proliferated over the past decade or so, many of their locations are basically right on top of each other. On the other end of the business, pharmacies are expensive to run. In the current landscape of commoditized pharmacies, there's no such thing as personalized service.

I was charged $2,500 for damages on my rental car, and I didn't have insurance — just my credit card reimbursement. Luckily, I had rental car insurance through my Chase Freedom credit card. I make it a point to book rental cars on a credit card with a rental car insurance benefit so I can decline the rental car company's collision insurance and save money while still being covered. I saved $250 on my rental car reservation this time by declining the collision damage waiver. ASHEVILLE, N.C. — When schools here reopen for the first time since Hurricane Helene unleashed a frightening deluge on western North Carolina, teachers won’t simply pick up where they left off in their lesson plans. While all Asheville City Schools students and staff members have been accounted for, they are grieving the deaths of other members of their community. “We’re not going to be able to just jump right into academics,” Asheville City Schools chief of staff Kim Dechant said. The city has restored water for toilets and handwashing at all other district schools, Dechant said. WASHINGTON — The Supreme Court on Wednesday allowed the Biden administration at least in the short term to enforce its latest attempt to curb climate-harming carbon emissions from coal- and gas-fired power plants that contribute to climate change. The Supreme Court is often skeptical of major agency actions but it has bucked that reputation in recent weeks. Under the proposed rule, the EPA wants to require “carbon capture,” a technique that uses solvents to remove carbon dioxide from a power plant’s emissions. The appeals court in July declined to block the regulation, saying the major questions doctrine did not apply on this occasion. In court papers, the challengers sought to portray the new regulation as being essentially the same as the one the Supreme Court struck down.
