To navigate this change — and maybe even new job requirements — Mark Cuban says you'll need to be curious, agile and adaptable. And yet, "it's a skill that can be rare to find," Joseph Fuller, a professor at Harvard Business School, recently told CNBC Make it. Honing these three soft skills — curiosity, agility and adaptability — will never stop paying dividends for your career, Cuban adds. "The skills you need for a job today, 10 years, 100 years from now, are always the same," he says. Sharpening your curiosity skills will help you come up with stronger solutions to work problems faster, she added.

Lost Silk Road cities mapped using LiDAR remote sensing

CNN —Lost for centuries, two cities lay buried, nearly 5 kilometers (3 miles) apart, underneath grassy pastures in the mountains of Uzbekistan. “It’s a really different environment up there,” Frachetti said of the newly discovered Silk Road settlements. However, the newfound highland cities were too big to simply be trading posts or Silk Road stopovers, Frachetti and his colleagues believe. The research marked the first time that light detection and ranging (LiDAR) equipment had been used in the region for archaeological purposes. Using drone-borne light detection and ranging equipment, archaeologists have mapped two abandoned cities in the mountains of Uzbekistan.

But Donald Trump’s threats are not ordinary, either. He has imprecisely but repeatedly invoked the government’s licensing of broadcast TV airwaves and has said on at least 15 occasions that certain licenses should be revoked. Trump’s threats against CBS have been particularly intense in recent weeks. The threat from any politician to revoke a broadcast license simply because they disagree with the station’s content undermines this basic freedom.”Many of Trump’s threats conflate national networks and local stations. A New York Times/Siena College poll this month showed Harris leading women voters by 56% to 40% over Trump. Cook went on to call Jobs' willingness to change his mind on any topic "a brilliant skill" — and one that's less common than you might think. While rent prices are undoubtedly rising, it’s unclear how much of the jump is due to corporate investors who buy up multiple properties. “Community after community feels taken advantage of by Wall Street investors and corporate landlords who have bought thousands of single-family homes during recent downturns,” Harris’ policy platform reads. A CNN analysis found that rent increases recently outpaced wage growth in cities with a meaningful presence of big investors. Ownership by corporate landlords, which CNN calculated by combining limited liability entities, real estate corporations and real estate investment trusts, stood at 16%. The number of single-family homes under construction dramatically decreased after the 2008 financial crisis, and construction never really returned to pre-recession levels.

During a recent Indeed Leadership Connect cohort, where like-minded TA leaders come together to share challenges and solutions, AI technology in recruiting was the main topic. How do hiring professionals respond to job candidates who are also using AI? When using AI tools to generate external-facing content, always include human oversight to mitigate the risk of irrelevant or biased content. This still saves time versus starting from scratch — and the more you use AI technology, the smarter it becomes. Key takeaways: Think beyond automation with AI; use the efficiency gains to rethink parts of your hiring process.

Increasingly, Europe’s centrist figureheads are dropping their once-high-minded rhetoric on irregular migration, reaching instead for positions that were previously the preserve of the continent’s populist rabble-rousers. In Poland, like in much of Europe, “voters across the board expect that border security and migration controls are the priority,” Kucharczyk said. But Thursday’s victory for Tusk in Brussels underscores a broader, rightward shift across Europe on the issue of irregular migration. “It’s an existential issue for this coalition, and they don’t want to take chances on issues like migration,” Kucharczyk said. The wider question is whether the longstanding principles of the border-free Schengen Area can survive an enduring era of rising migration and populist subversion.

On the latest season of Netflix's reality dating show "Love is Blind," one male contestant immediately caught the attention of several female contestants with his forthright admission: he has money. The goal is to find a match and get engaged, at which point the couple gets to see each other's faces. "If Leo doesn't want girls to date him for his wealth and career, why does he constantly mention it?" But how to bring up money on a date or in a new relationship is a tricky topic for many people. While dating and etiquette experts alike generally advise against bringing up finances on a first date, money is an important topic to discuss if you're thinking about a long-term partnership with someone.

Tech billionaire Elon Musk said Friday that all voting should be “in person,” contradicting his own history of voting by mail and the efforts of his pro-Trump super PAC to get others to vote by mail, too. His super PAC, America PAC, is also promoting mail-in and absentee ballots this year. In mailers and on a website that links to absentee ballot request forms, the super PAC calls absentee voting a secure way for people to support Trump in the Nov. 5 election. Musk has given the super PAC nearly $75 million.
