"Get there early to ensure you catch the sunrise" on Enphase Energy , said Seaport Research Partners. Enphase shares have tumbled more than 53% in 2023 amid a difficult year for the residential solar energy market in the U.S. California, which is the largest market for U.S. residential solar installers, also instituted a policy change that reduced a subsidy for solar panel owners for sending excess power into the grid — further impacting demand. However, Curran thinks the U.S. residential market could show an "incipient recovery" by the end of the second quarter next year. "By next June, we believe three positive factors will converge to form a rebound in U.S. home rooftop solar demand," said Curran.

A small shrine of flowers appeared in front of Margaritaville in Key West, Fla., on Saturday. For residents of the southernmost city in the continental United States, Saturday was a day to mourn and toast the singer who died at 76 on Friday and who, with his 1977 anthem “Margaritaville,” made himself and his onetime home famous. Key Westers posted tributes on social media, dropped well-wishes at the Margaritaville restaurant and store — the Buffett businesses that started here and expanded into an empire of hotels, products like Landshark Lager, and more — and started planning a celebration of Mr. Buffett’s life for Sunday, starting at, naturally, 5 p.m. “It’s Five O’Clock Somewhere” was a chart-topping country duet Mr. Buffett recorded with the singer Alan Jackson in 2003. Megan Burgess, 55, learned of the singer’s death when a friend texted her at 5:35 a.m. She has lived in Key West for 10 years and first visited 20 years ago — because of Mr. Buffett’s music. She fell in love with the island and started returning every year.

The line, which has been out of use for roughly 40 years, is part of the East Africa rail network that stretches from Kenya's Indian Ocean seaport of Mombasa. It was built by Kenya and Uganda's former colonial ruler Britain around the beginning of the 20th-century. Uganda decided to revamp the old network after plans to build a separate modern standard gauge railway (SGR) failed to secure financing from China. The European Union funded construction of the Gulu hub, completed in late 2021, as part of the effort to revamp Uganda's railway network, which fell into disrepair during the country's economic collapse in 1970s and early 80s. Ugandan officials hope once the link is restored, rail will replace trucks in shipping transit goods to South Sudan and northeastern Democratic Republic of Congo.

July 21 (Reuters) - Shares in Sirius XM Holdings (SIRI.O) were down 10.5% on Friday, erasing some of their dramatic gains in the previous day's session with analysts attributing the volatility to a short squeeze, as well as a rebalance of the Nasdaq 100 (.NDX). U.S. satellite and online radio company, Sirius XM, which is majority owned by Liberty Media (FWONA.O), last traded at $6.99 after closing up 42% at $7.81 on Thursday for its biggest one-day percentage gain since March 2009. A short squeeze is when these investors are forced to quickly cover their bets to limit losses if a stock gains ground instead of falling. "However, the large number of shares held short along with a relatively small float provided fertile ground for a short squeeze as seen on July 20," wrote Macker who estimates a $7.50 fair value for the stock. Evercore analyst Vijay Jayant said the upcoming rebalance of the Nasdaq 100, of which Sirius is a member, was also a factor for the short squeeze as well as related options trading.

Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) speaks at the 2023 Milken Institute Global Conference in Beverly Hills, California, U.S., May 1, 2023. Senator Joe Manchin said on Thursday he would oppose the nomination of Julie Su as labor secretary, arguing her "progressive background" would prevent her from forging compromises between labor and industry representatives. President Joe Biden nominated Su, a civil rights lawyer and former California labor commissioner who has served as a deputy labor secretary since 2021, to become labor secretary in February. Su previously served as California's labor secretary. WASHINGTON, July 7 (Reuters) - Acting U.S. Labor Secretary Julie Su said on Friday she does not see a need at this stage to step in to urge parties to reach a deal in contract talks between the Teamsters Union and United Parcel Service (UPS.N). "That is right," Su said on CNN when asked if she felt there was no need for her to intervene at this stage. On Wednesday, the Teamsters said UPS "walked away" from negotiations over a new contract. If talks break down, UPS workers have already authorized a strike that would be their first since 1997. Su recently helped negotiate a crucial contract deal between U.S. West Coast seaport employers and a union representing 22,000 workers.

CHICAGO, June 27 (Reuters) - Delta Air Lines (DAL.N) said on Tuesday it expects full-year profit per share at the high-end of its prior forecast on sustained travel demand. Shares rose about 1% in premarket trading as the Atlanta-based carrier also lifted its expectation for annual free cash flow ahead of its investor day. But with no let-up in travel demand, mainly for overseas trips and a moderation in fuel costs, analysts have revised upwards Delta's profit estimates. In a sign of growing confidence in its ability to generate free cash flow, Delta this month reinstated its quarterly dividend, which it had suspended in March 2020 during the pandemic. The company raised its free cash flow outlook for 2023 to $3 billion compared to more than $2 billion that it had forecast earlier.

Many of the ports' customers shifted a portion of their cargo to ocean trade gateways on the East Coast and Gulf Coast to avoid potential slowdowns from the Pacific Coast labor talks. The labor strife continues on the west coast with the announcement of the Port of Seattle shutting down due to the International Longshore and Warehouse Union (ILWU) refusing to dispatch labor to work at the container terminals. The West Coast ports have faced continuous worker slowdowns and stoppages all week where an estimated $5.2 billion of trade is floating off the Ports of Los Angeles, Long Beach, and Oakland. "Despite what you are hearing from PMA, West Coast ports are open as we continue to work under our expired collective bargaining agreement," stated International President Willie Adams.
