She started her career as a lawyer and pivoted to real estate and recruiting before data privacy. AdvertisementThis as-told-to essay is based on a conversation with Jonea Gordon, a 35-year-old year data privacy program manager based in Philadelphia. Transitioning from law to data privacy and income growth from $90,000 to over $400,000 in five years marks my journey in this field. But this move was strategic because I discovered the lucrative potential of data privacy in tech, which far exceeded my initial expectations. Advice for othersMy advice for those new to tech, particularly in data privacy, is to start in consulting.

Sam Altman will be in charge of OpenAI's team and products no matter what. So the three remaining OpenAI Board members should explain why they fired him and move on. But, as Business Insider's Alistair Barr has argued, if the goal of the three remaining OpenAI Board members is to save humans from OpenAI's product, it's time for those board members to say so. As a member of humanity, I do thank the three remaining OpenAI members for maybe looking out for us. Jensen Huang, president of Nvidia, holding the Grace hopper superchip CPU used for generative AI at the Supermicro keynote presentation during Computex 2023. When Nvidia reports fiscal third-quarter results Tuesday, analysts are expecting to see revenue growth of over 170%. Heading into the Thanksgiving holiday, Wall Street will be closely scrutinizing the company that's been at the heart of this year's artificial intelligence boom. In particular, the emergence of AMD in the generative AI market presents a new dynamic for Nvidia, which has mostly had the AI graphics processing unit (GPU) market to itself. "NVDA needs to forcefully counter the narrative its products are too expensive for generative AI inference," the Bank of America analysts wrote.

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — Disney on Tuesday released a study showing its economic impact in Florida at $40.3 billion as it battles Florida Gov. Disney accounted for 263,000 jobs in Florida, more than three times the actual workforce at Walt Disney World, according to the study conducted by Oxford Economics and commissioned by Disney, covering fiscal year 2022. The jobs include Disney employees as well as jobs supported by visitor spending off Disney World property. In central Florida, Disney directly accounts for 1 in 8 jobs, and for every direct job at Disney World, another 1.7 jobs are supported across Florida, Oxford Economics said. Before control of the district changed hands from Disney allies to DeSantis appointees, the Disney supporters on its board signed agreements with Disney shifting control over design and construction at Disney World to the company.

What it means for Nvidia Nvidia said in an SEC filing this week that the latest government curbs could hinder its new product development timeline, and a handful of chip models. The major aim of the latest U.S. restrictions is to prevent China from harnessing advanced semiconductor chips to strengthen its military. In June 2022, the Southeast Asian nation became the first in Asia to decriminalize the cannabis plant, allowing it to be grown and consumed freely. Deputy Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul, leader of the Bhumjaithai party and one of Srettha's coalition partners, was a key figure responsible for legalizing recreational cannabis. Currently, many outlets claim to be medical cannabis platforms but they often prioritize profits rather than patient health, a number of clinics told CNBC. "This could foster a more positive perception of the cannabis industry among the public, and for the industry to sustain in the long run," Jintana said. "The prospect of exporting cannabis products to legal foreign markets aligns with Thailand's medical hub policy propelling both medicinal cannabis and other traditional herbs to the forefront," said Jintana.
