Card perksMany credit cards, especially travel credit cards, offer a variety of perks that can add value to your cardholder experience. If a specific premium travel credit card offers benefits on brands you already use, it could make sense to choose that card even if its sign-up bonus isn’t the best around. Credit scoreCredit card issuers typically don’t disclose a minimum score requirement, but most rewards credit cards with sign-up bonuses stipulate that you need good credit. That said, your credit score is just one factor that card issuers consider when you apply for a credit card. A new credit card isn’t worth it if it threatens your financial security—no matter how good the sign-up bonus.

Financial experts say there are eight things worth every penny that you shouldn't stop spending on. If you're starting to plan what items you should cut back on, take a look at what these financial experts say are worth every penny — even during a recession. If you're struggling to afford your internet or phone service during a recession, Lalonde recommends calling your current provider and asking for discounts or looking for lower-cost options with other providers out there. To prepare for a looming recession, Lalonde recommends making sure your coverage is up-to-date and researching if there are any government or community programs that can assist you with the cost of healthcare costs. If you're prioritizing what to cut back on, Nelson recommends cutting spending elsewhere to ensure debts are being paid off first.

People are "shielding themselves from knowing reality" when they refuse to pay attention to their finances, Guralnik said. Two people in a relationship can have vastly different attitudes about money, Guralnik said.

May 8 (Reuters) - Volkswagen (VOWG_p.DE) will announce later on Monday the removal of leadership at its troubled software arm Cariad and the appointment of Bentley production chief Peter Bosch to take the unit's helm, two sources close to the company said. Volkswagen is set to dismiss all but one of the unit's current executive board members, with only human resources head Rainer Zugehoer to remain.
