The "On The Market" podcast recently compiled a list of cities to watch for real-estate investors. The cities have low median prices, good cash flow, and solid economic fundamentals. Compared to the low-interest-rate environment of the 2010s, it's not a great time to be a real-estate investor. Affordability is the lowest it's been in decades, with mortgage rates above 7% and national home prices hovering around all-time highs. Housing supply is incredibly tight as homeowners hesitate to let go of low mortgage rates they locked in.

The NBA and Diamond Sports Group, the largest owner of regional sports networks, have reached an agreement that will keep local broadcasts for 15 teams on Bally Sports through the end of this season. The agreement, which was contained in a court filing made Monday, is subject to court approval. While there will be a reduction in rights payments for some teams, the local rights for 15 franchises will revert back to those teams and the league at the end of this season. The agreement provides stability for fans, networks and NBA teams after Major League Baseball had to take over the broadcasts of San Diego Padres and Arizona Diamondbacks games last season after agreements could not be reached. The NBA teams that are currently on Bally are: Atlanta, Charlotte, Cleveland, Dallas, Detroit, Indiana, LA Clippers, Memphis, Miami, Milwaukee, Minnesota, New Orleans, Oklahoma City, Orlando and San Antonio.

She moved to Tulsa for the Tulsa Remote program, with a one-year stipend of $10,000. AdvertisementAdvertisementThis as-told-to essay is based on a conversation with Lillian Griffith, a 25-year-old data engineer at General Motors, who moved to Tulsa for the Tulsa Remote program. I initially heard about the Tulsa Remote program through my mom, who joined the program in 2021 and then referred me to it later. I applied for the Tulsa Remote program in early 2022 and it only took me about a week to get tentatively approved. I told her that I moved here for the Tulsa Remote program, and then she said she was also in the program.

For the shorthanded Lakers – missing five key contributors through injury – James filled out the box score as his squad ended its 11-game losing streak against the Clippers. The exclamation point of the impressive performance came in overtime when James emphatically converted an alley-oop from Austin Reeves to effectively seal the victory. In an encounter in which the Clippers had led for the majority of play, James took over late in the day. But in the additional five minutes, Reaves scored seven of his 15 on the night as the Lakers were able to grab an important victory. Some pharmacy workers are calling in sick or walking off the job this week to protest what they call inadequate staffing and increasing work requirements, according to protest organizers, and say it’s harder to do their jobs safely. The protests by nonunion workers, called Pharmageddon on social media, are affecting some CVS and Walgreens locations, according to organizers and workers. They are happening during a period of increasing labor activism by workers in other sectors, including the auto industry and Hollywood. Bled Tanoe, a pharmacist in Oklahoma City who used to work for Walgreens and now works for a hospital, said she was helping to spread the word about the walkouts because she was concerned that pharmacy chains had been telling workers for years to “work faster and work with less help.”“Pharmacies are not OK,” Ms. Tanoe said. “Your local Walgreens and CVS and Rite Aid is not OK. It’s a soup of danger, with ingredients from companies who have lost the core belief of what we do, which is patient care and patient focus.”

Oklahoma's Republican Attorney General Gentner Drummond on Friday sued to stop a state board from establishing and funding what would be the nation's first religious public charter school after the board ignored Drummond's warning that it would violate both the state and U.S. constitutions. Drummond filed the lawsuit with the Oklahoma Supreme Court against the Oklahoma Statewide Virtual Charter School Board after three of the board's members this week signed a contract for the St. Isidore of Seville Catholic Virtual Charter School, which is sponsored by the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City. The school board voted 3-2 in June to approve the Catholic Archdiocese's application to establish the online public charter school, which would be open to students across the state in kindergarten through grade 12. A message left Friday with Rebecca Wilkinson, the executive director of the Oklahoma Statewide Virtual Charter School Board, was not immediately returned, although Wilkinson has said previously she wouldn't comment on pending litigation. The National Alliance for Public Charter Schools, a nonprofit organization that supports the public charter school movement, released a statement Friday in support of Drummond's challenge.

SAN ANTONIO (AP) — Victor Wembanyama’s first win of his rookie season with the San Antonio Spurs came with no fans present, no referees around and didn’t even require the use of a basketball. “I wanted to win.”Get used to that, San Antonio. They were oft-asked in recent years; then the Spurs got Wembanyama and Popovich signed for five more seasons. The Spurs won 22 games last season — the third-worst season in franchise history — and missed the playoffs for the fourth consecutive season. A simple wish, quickly granted, showed Wembanyama right away what San Antonio can be like.
