First-year Duke men's basketball player Cooper Flagg has agreed to a name, image and likeness deal with PepsiCo -owned Gatorade, according to a Tuesday announcement. As part of the deal, Gatorade will use Flagg in its marketing. Since the approval of NIL deals, college athletes have been able to capitalize on endorsement deals in ways they never could before. Players like Flagg, a highly touted prospect and likely NBA star, have been able to net NIL deals, some of them reportedly worth millions of dollars. Flagg has inked his NIL deals all before playing in a college basketball game that counts toward a season record.

CNN —Dwyane Wade’s status as a Miami Heat legend was further cemented on Sunday as the franchise unveiled an eight-foot statue of the three-time NBA champion. The 42-year-old played 16 seasons in the NBA and was selected as an All-Star 13 times before retiring in 2019. One comment on an Instagram video of the unveiling said that the statue better resembled Laurence Fishburne as ’Morpheus’ from the movie ‘The Matrix’ than Wade. Fans criticized the likeness of the statue although Wade himself didn't seem too bothered and was relishing the moment. Tyrese Haliburton led the way for the Pacers with 22 points but still looks a long way off last season’s form.

Morales posted a video on Facebook taken inside a moving car, showing him sitting in the front passenger seat and at least two bullet holes in the windshield. Morales and Arce, his former economy minister, are both part of the same socialist MAS political party but have clashed over the last year, part of a power struggle ahead of 2025 elections. Morales is also facing allegations that he had relationships with minors. He was formally summoned by regional prosecutors to testify in the case but did not appear, and now faces an arrest warrant.
