She says that sometimes using AI to complete an application isn't a big deal. Since joining Applied in 2018, I've reviewed thousands of applicants' skill-based test answers, and I've noticed multiple subtleties that indicate AI was used. Beyond that, using AI can also strip an application of personality and diminish an applicant's ability to set themself apart among potentially thousands of other applicants. They may not mind the use of AI, or they might discard an applicant entirely if there is even suspicion that AI was used. AI isn't going anywhere, so use it to your advantageI believe that AI will continue to be used in applications.

The charges made public Tuesday against the official, Ruhollah Bazghandi, are the first to accuse an Iranian government official by name in the alleged plot to kill journalist Masih Alinejad. Prosecutors allege they were enlisted to carry out the assassination of Alinejad in the United States. Bazghandi allegedly discussed the plot to murder Alinejad with a second defendant, Haj Taher. Taher, in turn, communicated about the plot defendants Hossein Sedighi and Mohammad Forouzan, prosecutors say, including about payment for the murder. Taher, Sedighi and Forouzan also have connections to the Iranian government, prosecutors allege.

In Los Angeles public schools, transgender students have equal access to facilities like bathrooms. Smaller amounts of federal money could also be withheld through presidential executive action. Still, Mr. Carvalho said he had no plans to rethink the district’s policy on gender identity, even if Mr. Trump is elected. The money contributes to the salaries of teachers, which can help lower class sizes in schools where students are struggling academically, Mr. Carvalho said. For some disabled students, federal dollars support personal aides who attend class alongside them.

During a recent Indeed Leadership Connect cohort, where like-minded TA leaders come together to share challenges and solutions, AI technology in recruiting was the main topic. How do hiring professionals respond to job candidates who are also using AI? When using AI tools to generate external-facing content, always include human oversight to mitigate the risk of irrelevant or biased content. This still saves time versus starting from scratch — and the more you use AI technology, the smarter it becomes. Key takeaways: Think beyond automation with AI; use the efficiency gains to rethink parts of your hiring process.

Employers might not ask if you have a degree, but many still care, a labor market expert told BI. AdvertisementDeming said many employers look upon a worker with a four-year degree as an investment — one that can be molded into what the firm wants. "What people are looking for, because it's the easiest and laziest filter, is a four-year degree from a 'good school,'" he said. "He's been the finalist for five different positions where they said, 'You're actually the best candidate we interviewed, but we require a four-year degree,'" Hyams said. That changed in 2023, when Texas went 12-2 in coach Steve Sarkisian’s third season and appeared in the College Football Playoff for the first time. Like Texas, Georgia spent much of the last 30 years boasting a past national championship and a campus in a recruiting-rich part of the country, with little modern success to show for it. The quarterback of the Bulldogs’ back-to-back championship teams was not a former high-star recruit but he did grow up in Georgia. In the decade before Sarkisian’s hiring, Texas recruiting classes finished with an average rank of 10.8 in the country; in three recruiting classes under Sarkisian, Texas has averaged a ranking of 4.6.
