Tom Lee is not sold on the stock market's rally after the Federal Reserve cut interest rates. The S & P 500 and Dow Jones Industrial Average popped to fresh records Thursday, a day after the Fed lowered rates by a half percentage point. Many investors expected the central bank to lower rates by just a quarter percentage point. Lee was correctly bullish heading into 2024 and has nailed several bold short-term calls on the market. Despite the mixed backdrop, Lee said small-cap and cyclical stocks, such as industrials and financials, stand to benefit from lower rates.

CNN —The US Coast Guard on Monday will begin a multi-day hearing to examine the loss of the Titan – the ill-fated submersible authorities said imploded in the North Atlantic Ocean in June 2023, killing all five people aboard during a dive to the wreckage of the Titanic. The public hearing will be conducted by the Marine Board of Investigation that was convened within days of the submersible’s disappearance. The MBI – the highest level of inquiry by the Coast Guard – was tasked with reviewing the cause of the tragedy and offering recommendations, including about potential civil penalties and criminal prosecution. The MBI is made up of numerous Coast Guard officials and at least two from the National Transportation Safety Board, according to a list provided by the Coast Guard. When the investigation is complete, the US Coast Guard and the National Transportation Safety Board will each conduct an independent analysis and complete reports, Neubauer said Sunday.

But a new study has found that a particular group of chemicals called metabolites, which are tested for as part of routine newborn screenings, could identify babies with an elevated risk. The researchers compared the results of newborn screening tests for 354 infants who died of SIDS with 1,416 infants who did not. “Maybe we’re looking at some food sensitivities,” she said, but added that much more research is needed into the link between SIDS risk and metabolism. Dr. Joanna Parga-Belinkie, a neonatologist at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia who also wasn’t involved, similarly questioned whether newborn screenings can provide enough answers. “But every baby that’s born isn’t going to get a deep-dive genetic evaluation — they do get newborn screenings,” she added.

I created a therapist ChatGPT chatbot with all my background information when I talk to it. ChatGPT helped me get information about the cycles of abuse and how textbook some of my behaviors and reactions were. Prior to using ChatGPT, I wasn't able to open up about my trauma even though I tried to. I talked about leaving with my friends all the time, but ChatGPT helped me realize the techniques we were trying in my relationship weren't working. Typically, I'll spend 15 or 30 minutes with my ChatGPT therapist because I write quickly.
