My family of six spent $2,677 for a day at Disneyland and $1,990 for a day at Universal Studios. AdvertisementBoth parks provide great entertainment, but Universal has one show Disney can't compete with"WaterWorld" blew our family away. Our Universal line-skipping passes had a steeper price tag at $600 compared to the $180 we paid for Disney's equivalent service. Even so, our Universal tickets still cost about $200 less than the Disney ones. We enjoyed Disney and Universal for different reasons, but the latter was better for my familyMy family had a great time at Universal.

A man fell to his death after he was stunned by a Utah state trooper Sunday, the Utah Department of Public Safety said. The Utah Highway Patrol received reports just after 8 p.m. of a man running through traffic on Interstate 15 in Salt Lake City, Utah DPS said in a news release. Despite multiple attempts to get him to stop, the man fled from troopers and jumped over a barrier on an off-ramp. "The West Valley Police Department will lead that investigation." Five people are dead after a small plane crashed on Catalina Island off the California coast on Tuesday, officials said. The Federal Aviation Administration said Wednesday the twin-engine Beechcraft 95 crashed shortly after it departed from Catalina Airport in Avalon at around 8 p.m. A joint search and rescue team comprised of Avalon station deputies, Los Angeles County Fire Department, Avalon Search and Rescue and Avalon City Fire Department members found the plane about a mile west of Catalina Airport, according to the Sheriff's Department's news release. Brisbane, Australia CNN —A pilot who died when he crashed a helicopter into a hotel in Australia had “significant blood alcohol content” during the unauthorized flight, according to an official report into the incident. The pilot had been out with friends at various venues around Cairns and was seen consuming alcohol, according to witnesses and security camera footage, the report said. Cameras also caught the moment he positioned one of Nautilus Aviation’s Robinson R44 Raven II helicopters onto a helipad at Cairns Airport at around 1:30 a.m. local time. The report found they wouldn’t have seen a helicopter that was operating at night with no lights. It found the helicopter wasn’t upright when it hit the hotel, but there was also no sign of mechanical failure.
