CNN —The impact of Israel’s war in the Gaza Strip could erase “over 69 years of progress” in the enclave, the United Nations has warned in a new report, saying that measurement for indicators such as life expectancy, education, income and standard of living are projected to drop to a level estimated for 1955. Israel launched a war on Hamas in Gaza on October 7 last year after the group attacked southern Israel, killing 1,200 people and taking more than 250 hostages. The Israeli offensive has killed more than 42,000 people in Gaza, according to the health ministry there, displaced most of its people and flattened large swathes of the enclave. The UN report, which looks at estimates for the Palestinian territories as a whole, says that over 4 million people in them were affected by poverty in 2024, including 2.6 million newly impoverished people. Shares of South Korean media company YG Plus soared to a seven-month high after the release of a collaboration track between Blackpink member Rosé and Bruno Mars on Oct. 18 topped streaming charts. Rosé debuted in 2016 as one of the four members of Blackpink, under Kosdaq-listed YG Entertainment. Records from The Black Label are distributed by YG Plus, also a YG Entertainment subsidiary. YG Entertainment shares climbed as much as 3.53% on Tuesday. Despite the boost, the parent company's stocks have dropped 22.5% year-to-date, dragged by uncertain conditions facing the global music industry.

We're currently trading at $386, just below the all-time highs of $387 set back in 2021. The earnings trajectory for this company has been insane: 2022 EPS ($3.09) 2023 EPS ($2.95) 2024 EPS +$6.37 2025 EPS +$9.06 (est.) Netflix beat expectations and broke to new all-time highs led by new subs, 50% of which are coming from an ad tier. Meta is also in the communication sector sitting close to new all-time highs like NFLX, so the trend for this group remains firmly higher.
