Air India has implemented a new set of regulations regarding the appearance of its cabin crew. Some rules focus on cabin crew hair, especially if it indicates aging. Male cabin crew members are allowed to wear wedding bands. Earlier this year, Tata Group circulated a new policy that required Air India cabin crew to undergo body mass index and weight checks before flights. Air India argued that overweight crew could be a hazard in an emergency, but the Air India cabin crew union objected citing concerns about crew members' mental health and the lack of a medical professional present at the checks, India Today previously reported.

We were the first Black family to join Temple Emanu-El, a synagogue in Providence, Rhode Island. My bat mitzvah was probably the first time I experienced that being Black and Jewish in America was a rarity. As I got older and left the nest of my family and synagogue in Rhode Island, I moved to New York. Nearly half of bald and golden eagles in the US have chronic lead poisoning, a study found. Of that sample, 47% of bald eagles and 46% of golden eagles had signs of chronic lead poisoning. The researchers estimated that lead poisoning slowed the annual population growth of bald eagles by 4% and golden eagles by 1%. Neither golden eagles nor bald eagles are endangered species. Up to 33% of bald eagles and up to 35% of golden eagles in the study showed signs of acute lead poisoning.
