Ticketmaster is refunding fans of The Cure after some of them paid more in service fees than they did for a ticket for the English rock band’s upcoming tour, the band said Friday. The Cure, a band formed in the 1970s, criticized Ticketmaster’s pricing system months after the company drew scrutiny for botching sales for Taylor Swift concerts. The band said Ticketmaster agreed it would refund $10 to fans who bought the cheapest seats and $5 to the rest of the fans.

Google’s Glass project was troubled from the start. Google stopped selling the latest version of Glass after the device sparked privacy concerns and didn’t gain traction with consumers. The company said on its website Wednesday it was no longer selling Glass Enterprise Edition, the most recent version of the product. It didn’t say why. Google, like other tech companies, has been cutting costs in recent months.

Marvel Studios is demanding that Google and Reddit identify who may have leaked the script of “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” weeks before the movie premiered last month. A federal court in California this week granted Marvel’s request to subpoena Google and Reddit for information behind the leak, according to documents filed in California’s Northern District. Marvel said the leaks on Reddit and Google infringed on its copyrights.

Marshals Service said Tuesday hackers had carried out a major ransomware attack on one of its systems, stealing sensitive information about employees and people under investigation. The agency, which is part of the Justice Department, said it discovered the attack on Feb. 17 but didn’t say when the information was stolen. The Marshals Service said the hackers targeted one stand-alone system, which the agency disconnected as soon as it learned about the attack.
Forecasters said Central Park in New York City had gotten about 1.8 inches of snow as of Tuesday morning. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said Cosori had received over 200 reports of its air fryers catching fire, melting or smoking. Cosori is recalling more than two million of its popular air fryers because it said the machines can overheat and catch fire. The company warned customers on Thursday to immediately stop using their appliances. The products were sold from June 2018 to December 2022 through Target Corp., Amazon.com Inc. and other retailers, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.

Ericsson AB plans to lay off 8,500 employees worldwide, or about 8% of its workforce, the Swedish company said Friday, while it cuts costs as orders for its 5G gear have slowed in the U.S. and other markets. The Stockholm-based company, which sells telecommunications equipment, said layoffs would happen this year and next year. The announcement came days after the company said it planned to cut around 1,400 jobs in Sweden.
