CNN —The 2024 Tony Awards are underway at the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in New York City. Heading into the ceremony, Alicia Keys’ ambitious musical “Hell’s Kitchen” and “Stereophonic,” a play set in the ’70s about fictional band, led with 13 nominations each. Cast members from productions including “Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club,” “The Who’s Tommy,” “Water for Elephants” and the Hillary Clinton-produced “Suffs,” among others, are slated to perform. The Tony Awards are airing on CBS at 8 p.m. EDT/5 p.m. PDT and will stream on Paramount+ in the US. By the time intelligence collected on overseas ISIS targets connected the men to the terror group, they had already been vetted by immigration authorities and allowed into the country, officials said. The men remain in federal custody on immigration charges and will eventually be deported following the counterterror investigation into them. US officials and analysts who closely track Islamist terror groups do know that ISIS-K has dramatically ramped up its online propaganda machine. But that’s not necessarily a reliable gauge of the number of actual terrorists who may be trying to enter the United States, US officials argue. Or they could belong to a legacy terror group — like the FARC — that isn’t known for conducting attacks on US soil.

London CNN —Catherine, Princess of Wales, will not be returning to royal duties with an appearance at the Colonel’s Review, a military parade in London in early June, as she continues her treatment for cancer. It is not yet clear if Kate will also miss that annual military spectacle – a highlight of the royal calendar full of pomp and pageantry – at Horse Guards Parade in the British capital. Following the announcement, a royal source told CNN that she would not be returning to frontline royal duties until she has been cleared to do so by her medical team. There had also been speculation over whether King Charles would participate in next month’s Trooping the Colour as he continues his own cancer treatment. Charles announced his own cancer battle in February but recently resumed public-facing royal engagements as he continues his treatment.
