Counterfeiting has ballooned into a massive problem for Crye, costing it millions of dollars a year, said Jonathan Antone, the company's general counsel. By 2016, sellers were speaking out about Amazon's growing counterfeit problem, telling CNBC of the company's effort to openly court Chinese manufacturers. "There's a lot more space on that digital shelf for potential counterfeit products," he added. Agents seized "multiple tractor trailer loads" of counterfeit MultiCam products, estimated to be worth $8 million, according to court documents. Crye showed CNBC examples of counterfeit MultiCam products that were allegedly sold by retailer L&Q Tactical, one of the defendants in the lawsuit, on Amazon.

Jordan Page was deeply unhappy in his 9-to-5 digital content job at a Fortune 500 company. At the beginning of this job, I'd hardly freelanced, putting all my energy into my new role. With decent pay from the corporate role, I'd saved around £6,000, around $7,800, to live on as I tried to build a career as a writer. Having a colonoscopy served as the wake-up call she needed to make lifestyle changes to improve her health. I've struggled with constipation and bleeding with bowel movements since childhood. When I was 16, I decided to become vegan, but I was still eating a high-processed vegan diet, so the change didn't help my digestive issues. The bleeding with bowel movements continued on and off through adulthood but got continuously worse with age. After the colonoscopy and lifestyle changes, now at 25, I experience bleeding or pain with bowel movements maybe once a year.

Ever since 2022, when inflation hit a 40-year high of 9%, Americans have been pissed off about the economy. Traditionally, economists (being economists) have focused on the economic costs of inflation — i.e., are price increases wiping out everyone's annual raise? In a normal economy, the small raises companies give are enough to offset the minimal inflation we typically see. In a survey of 3,000 workers, researchers found that most — a whopping 79% — just accepted the salary they were offered. AdvertisementBut now, poring over the new study, I realize I overlooked the role inflation has played in reshaping the pandemic-era workplace.

Workers value remote work as much as a 7% to 8% pay increase, a new survey finds. Teleworking has increased, even as firms try to pull their workers back into the office. The push and pull between workers, their employers, and the office has been a years-long battle in the wake of the pandemic. And a new survey update shows how much remote workers value the ability to work from home — and what it may cost for firms to lure them back in. Remote jobs are becoming scarcer, and that's even led some workers to cling to roles they might not otherwise enjoy.
