Monday marks the 75th anniversary of the PLAAF, which will have its largest presence at the airshow, according to Xinhua, China’s state-run news agency. BEIJING — China on Friday announced the central government would allocate an additional 6 trillion yuan ($840 billion) to local governments for tackling hidden debt issues. The policies will reduce hidden debt from 14.3 trillion yuan to 2.3 trillion yuan by 2028, Lan said. At the parliamentary meeting, officials had reviewed a plan to increase the limit on how much debt local governments can issue, according to state media. The additional quota would go toward swapping out local governments’ hidden debt. Nomura estimates that China has 50 trillion yuan to 60 trillion yuan ($7 trillion to $8.4 trillion) in such hidden debt, and said it expected that Beijing could allow local authorities to increase debt issuance by 10 trillion yuan over the next few years.

While mortgage rates often move in step with the Fed's benchmark rate, they're more directly tied to 10-year Treasury bond yields. CNBC's Jim Cramer on Wednesday told investors the Trump administration is more likely to allow mergers and acquisitions to go through, processes largely stymied under Biden. "I am very confident in the idea that, under President Trump, M&A's about to come back and come back bigly," he said. Beyond M&A, Cramer said the President-elect is likely to relax antitrust regulations, whereas Biden appointees have scrutinized Big Tech outfits like Apple . But while Cramer suggested these companies are likely safer from regulatory interference under Trump, he said some of that depends on Trump's own attitude towards them. "So, it's not a surprise to see most of America's big name tech CEOs come out today with enthusiastic, public messages of congratulations for President-elect Trump," he said.

Western Alliance Bancorp turned up on the list, with a dividend yield of 1.8% as of Tuesday's close. BPOP YTD mountain Popular shares in 2024 Provident Financial Services turned up on CNBC Pro's screen. Provident posted a profit of 36 cents per share, versus analysts' call for 47 cents a share, per FactSet. Shares are up more than 21% in 2024, and as of Tuesday's close, it had a dividend yield of 5%.
