Almost half of young women have at least a bachelor’s degree compared to 37% of young men. That compares to 2008, when Barack Obama won the votes of 66% of young men. One of the biggest financial pressure points for young men has been higher rents, which are up around 20% since 2020. CNN —University of North Carolina wide receiver Tylee Craft has died at the age of 23 after a cancer battle, the school announced on Saturday. “It is with love and fond memories that we announce Tylee Craft has begun his journey on the other side,” the school said in a release. “Tylee meant so much to so many and affected us in ways we’ll always be thankful for. The school honored Craft ahead of Saturday’s game against Georgia Tech at Kenan Memorial Stadium in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Tar Heels head coach Mack Brown embraced Craft’s mother during a tribute that included 13 seconds of applause to honor Craft.

Younger generations spend more on groceries than other categories, a McKinsey report says. The firm asked over 4,000 people, from baby boomers to Gen Zers, about the categories they intend to splurge on this year. Groceries ranked highest for millennials and Gen Zers, outpacing restaurants, bars, travel, beauty and personal care, apparel, and fitness. It's a notable shift from 2018 when older generations like baby boomers and Gen Xers still spent more on groceries than millennials. It surveyed baby boomers to Gen Zers, not baby boomers to Gen Xers.

Urban Outfitters is now staging a turnaround, with the ambition of finding the success of rivals like Abercrombie & Fitch. But while Urban Outfitters may be trying to pull off a turnaround at the same scale is Abercrombie’s, the action points of both differ. About 3.3% of high school students identify as transgender and another 2.2% have at some point questioned if they were one, according to data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. About one-quarter, 26%, of trans and questioning students attempted suicide in the past year compared with 11% of cisgender female students and 5% of cisgender male students, the CDC found. Trans students were also more likely to report being bullied at school, consistent with previous research on the subject. An estimated 40% of trans and questioning students said they were bullied at school, compared to 20.3% of cis female students and 14.8% of cis male students. Significantly more trans students and questioning students, at 10.7% and 10%, respectively, reported experiencing unstable housing in the past 30 days, compared to 1.8% of cisgender female students and 2.1% of cisgender male students.
