PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — A former nurse convicted of sexually abusing women in custody at an Oregon prison has been sentenced to 30 years in federal prison. A federal jury in July convicted Klein on 17 counts related to sexual assault and four counts of lying under oath involving nine women. Klein resigned as Oregon State Police was investigating the assault allegations. Prosecutors said Klein abused his position and abused women, violating the public's trust, while doing everything he could to avoid getting caught. Schwinden died Saturday in Phoenix at his daughter's home, son Dore Schwinden said Monday. Schwinden was born Aug. 31, 1925, on his family's farm in Wolf Point on the Fort Peck Indian Reservation. NEW YORK (AP) — New York City's pension funds and the state of Oregon sued Fox Corporation on Tuesday, alleging the company harmed investors by allowing Fox News to broadcast falsehoods about the 2020 election that exposed the network to defamation lawsuits. New York City's pension funds are long-term shareholders of Fox Corporation, with shares valued at $28.1 million as of the end of July.
