CB Payments Limited (CBPL) is part of the Coinbase Group, which operates a global crypto trading platform. In October 2020, CBPL entered into a voluntary agreement with the U.K.'s Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), accepting restrictions that prevented it from taking on new customers that the regulator considered high-risk. However, CBPL breached the agreement and onboarded and served 13,416 of so-called high-risk customers, the FCA said. These funds were used to make withdrawals and execute crypto transactions via other Coinbase entities, totaling approximately $226 million.

The videos began circulating Wednesday, quickly going viral on social media and sparking an outcry from both the public and some politicians. One video shows a man on the ground with at least two police officers pointing a taser at him. The video appears to show the attacks taking place on the ground level of the airport outside of several elevators. In its statement released on X, Greater Manchester Police outlined what it said were the events that led up to the videos. Police said they were called to Terminal 2 of the airport on Tuesday evening following reports of an assault.

He defended Israel’s actions, pushing back against criticism that the war has gone on for too long and resulted in too many civilian casualties. Israeli officials have been making the claim that Hamas was stealing aid since October. The investigation was launched after the Justice Department issued a second sentencing memo for Stone called for a prison sentence “far less” than the 7-9 year recommendation his trial team initially put forward. Stone was sentenced to 40 months in prison, but that sentence was ultimately commuted by Trump. However, the inspector general found in Wednesday’s report that even career department lawyers believe “reasonable minds” can disagree on whether the initial sentencing recommendation for Stone was too high. “Thus, we found that Barr had articulated his position about the sentencing recommendation both before and shortly after the first sentencing memorandum was filed, and before the President’s tweets,” the inspector general said. The comments during these deliberations formed a “substantial basis” for Zelinsky’s congressional testimony, the inspector general said.
