An archeologist found a silk dress from the 1800s with a hidden pocket concealing a secret code. "It was a beautiful sort of rust, metallic, bronze silk dress," she told Business Insider, one she'd seen at the shop for years. "For the first time in history, information about the weather could travel faster than the weather itself," Chan wrote. While it's tempting to think Bennet was the owner of the paper, it's not necessarily the case, Rivers Cofield said. AdvertisementWhether the dress's owner sent it out to the laundry or donated it are both possibilities, Rivers Cofield said.

FDA officials don't have the legal authority to force manufacturers to recall their products, and instead rely on companies to “voluntarily” do so. The FDA previously stated it recommended the manufacturer recall the eyedrops on Oct. 25. That suggests agency officials may still be finalizing documentation from the inspection that triggered the latest recall. Agency records show FDA didn't conduct any inspections in India during fiscal year 2021, at the height of the pandemic. CVS Health said in a statement that it previously “stopped the sale in-store and online” of all the eyedrops cited by the FDA.

CNN —After months of rebuilding and clearing red tape following the April explosion of the Starship system’s first test flight, SpaceX is set for its next attempt. The Starship spacecraft stacked atop the Super Heavy booster is intended to play a key role in the NASA Artemis III moon mission, currently slated for 2025. After its fuel is spent, the Super Heavy will detach from the Starship spacecraft and fall back toward the ocean. “These delays may seem small in the big scheme of things but … delays in each and every test flight adds up. CNN —Federal regulators have granted SpaceX permission to launch a long-awaited second test flight of its Starship system — the most powerful rocket ever built — following an explosive first attempt in April. The agency then completed a safety review on October 31 for SpaceX’s planned second test flight. That process concluded on November 14, according to a statement from the agency, allowing FAA to issue the launch permit. Environmental concernsSpaceX may also face additional pushback from environmentalists ahead of — or in the wake of — the second launch attempt. The group of environmental and wildlife advocates that previously sued the FAA could still attempt to seek an injunction to stop the next launch.

"Looksmaxxing" is the Tiktok trend taking hold among some young men who want to be better-looking. The New York Times wrote about the trend, which has shifted from a friendlier version on Tiktok, where handsome men give basic advice. The story points out that much of the TikTok version of the trend is simply helpful, basic advice, and the target audience is often young teenage men — a demographic that can be hygienically challenged. Calling these basic tips "looksmaxxing" — and treating it like getting "facial gains" — is silly. But this is the first time we're seeing swaths of young men gathering online to talk about it with these meme-y terms like "mogging" (looking hotter than someone else).

The theory, called the giant-impact hypothesis, explains many fundamental features of the moon and Earth.
