VinFast, which began operations in 2019, is gearing up to expand in the United States where it hopes to compete with legacy automakers. The company delivered over 4,000 EVs to customers domestically in December, more than half of which were the sports utility VF8 model. VinFast said it has not recorded any breakdowns or complaints from customers about the loosen bolt that may cause trouble to the brake.

WASHINGTON, Nov 8 (Reuters) - Tesla Inc (TSLA.O) is recalling just over 40,000 2017-2021 Model S and Model X vehicles that may experience a loss of power steering assist when driving on rough roads or after hitting a pothole. The Texas-based electric vehicle manufacturer has released an over-the-air software update to recalibrate the system after it began rolling out an update on Oct. 11 to better detectunexpected steering assist torque. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said a loss of power steering assist can require greater steering effort, especially at low speeds, increasing the crash risks.
