The rapper's seven children — Christian, Quincy, Chance, Justin, Love, and twins Jessie and D’Lila — posted an Instagram video of their phone call with him from the detention center where he is being held. Combs' children gathered around a cake while they sang "Happy Birthday." Combs apologized on Instagram and described his behavior in the video as “inexcusable” and said he had sought therapy. “Too frequently, large grocery companies use their significant market power to hike prices for essential goods and take advantage of customers,” the letter said. Grocery prices shot up 20% between January 2021 and December 2022, causing some consumers to cut back on common purchases like red meat and eggs. But inflation is now virtually back to normal; since November 2023, grocery prices have been increasing by less than 2% on an annual basis. The companies say the tags let employees change prices up to every 10 seconds, allowing them to streamline operations and restock faster. Kroger has denied that claim, saying electronic pricing would only be used to lower prices whenever possible.

Vice President Kamala Harris will make an appearance on “Saturday Night Live” this weekend, according to three people familiar with the planning. Harris’ cameo on the long-running variety series, where she’s been portrayed by actor Maya Rudolph, brings her to New York, away from the battleground states she’s been visiting in the final stretch of the campaign. "Maya Rudolph — I mean, she’s so good,” Harris said of her impression on “The View” last month, praising her “mannerisms” as well. Megan Smyth, a 35-year-old mom, has been a single mom to triplets for 18 months. AdvertisementThis as-told-to essay is based on a conversation with Megan Smyth, mom to 3-year-old triplets. They know to put their dirty clothes in the washing basket and washing machine. Nothing can ever prepare you for having triplets or for being the sole parent of them.

Speaking from Adra’s family home in Masafer Yatta, they spoke with CNN about life under occupation, and what, if anything, their documentary might change. How to talk like a banker
  + stars: | 2024-11-03 | by ( Emmalyse Brownstein | ) www.businessinsider.com   time to read: +9 min
A manager might leave a comment on a page telling the junior banker to "kill this," which just means delete it. A manager might also instruct the junior banker to "take another stab" at it, which means doing the presentation over again and sending it back by email. In stock market talk, "trading with the Street" usually means someone is trading along the lines of majority opinion. It's so much a part of the culture that the term is also used by higher-ups to describe their junior bankers professionally. Each time a banker makes changes to client materials pre-meeting — like a deck — it's standard practice for every round of edits or changes to be saved as a new file.

The Summary A new lawsuit challenges Louisiana’s classification of abortion medications as controlled dangerous substances. A group of Louisiana health care providers and reproductive rights advocates are suing the state over a new law that classifies abortion pills as controlled dangerous substances. It’s the first time a state has classified abortion pills as controlled substances. In Louisiana, abortion is largely banned, so the law has not had a major impact on abortion access. The Louisiana law established a crime known as “coerced abortion” — intentionally giving a pregnant woman abortion pills without her knowledge or consent.

That changed Friday, when tens of thousands of DACA recipients became able to sign up for health insurance coverage under the Affordable Care Act for the first time. Bortolleto said she plans to sign up government-funded health insurance as early as Friday. The limited options, she said, mean many DACA recipients can’t get quality health insurance, resulting in high uninsured rates. The lawsuit says that expanding coverage to DACA recipients will create additional “resource burdens” and harm to taxpayers. She and other DACA recipients have asked the court to allow them to join the Kansas case, siding with the defense.

CNN —Former President Donald Trump filed a lawsuit Thursday against CBS Broadcasting Inc. and CBS Interactive Inc., demanding $10 billion in damages over the network’s “60 Minutes” interview with Vice President Kamala Harris. Trump’s legal counsel argued that “CBS’s misconduct was unconscionable because it amounts to a brazen attempt to interfere in the 2024 U.S. Presidential Election.”A spokesperson for CBS said that Trump’s claims against “60 Minutes” are false. “The Interview was not doctored; and 60 MINUTES did not hide any part of the Vice President’s answer to the question at issue. 60 MINUTES fairly presented the Interview to inform the viewing audience, and not to mislead it. Tesla CEO and X owner Elon Musk, who supports Republican presidential nominee former U.S. President Donald Trump, gestures as he speaks about voting during an America PAC Town Hall in Folsom, Pennsylvania, U.S., October 17, 2024. A federal judge in Pennsylvania on Friday sent back to state court a lawsuit against billionaire Elon Musk and his political action committee seeking to halt their $1 million daily giveaway to voters in the swing state. The order returning the case to state court in Philadelphia came a day after the suit by the city's District Attorney Larry Krasner was removed to federal court at the request of the Tesla CEO Musk and his America PAC. Krasner's lawsuit accuses Musk and the PAC of running an illegal lottery by offering a random cash prize to registered voters in Pennsylvania. Friday's ruling sets the stage for Krasner to potentially obtain a quick order in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas blocking America PAC from awarding any more $1 million prizes to registered voters in the state.

Trump has repeatedly assailed the network on the campaign trail over the episode and has threatened to revoke CBS’s broadcasting license if elected.
