The children of Sean "Diddy" Combs shared video of their phone call wishing the embattled and jailed music mogul a happy 55th birthday on Monday. CNN —A 13-year-old girl is the latest person to lose her life in New York City while “subway surfing,” a dangerous challenge attracting young people on social media. “Subway surfing,” involves riding on top of a subway car while its moving. Six subway surfing fatalities and 181 related arrests have been recorded this year through October 27, the New York Police Department told CNN on Tuesday. The handful of Americans who have won $1 million checks from tech billionaire Elon Musk’s super PAC have a few things in common. He said he didn’t know the process the super PAC used to pick his name and didn’t ask. He said he believes Democrats are not ideologically predisposed to sign Musk’s petition in support of the First and Second Amendments. NBC News asked the super PAC to share the process Oct. 22 and did not receive a response. All 14 winners have either recorded videos for Musk’s super PAC, been photographed for the super PAC or both.

Outrage has followed the release of a video from a Halloween parade in Pennsylvania that seemed to depict Vice President Kamala Harris tied to a golf cart carrying a man wearing a mask of former President Donald Trump. The float moved along a main street in Mount Pleasant, a town of about 4,000 people located 45 miles southeast of Pittsburgh. A video appeared to show a woman dressed as Harris with her hands tied at the Halloween parade Wednesday. The fire department did not immediately respond to a request for comment from NBC News or share who did the float belong to. The fire department said on Facebook that it has “traditionally only provided safety & traffic control” during the parade.

That changed Friday, when tens of thousands of DACA recipients became able to sign up for health insurance coverage under the Affordable Care Act for the first time. Bortolleto said she plans to sign up government-funded health insurance as early as Friday. The limited options, she said, mean many DACA recipients can’t get quality health insurance, resulting in high uninsured rates. The lawsuit says that expanding coverage to DACA recipients will create additional “resource burdens” and harm to taxpayers. She and other DACA recipients have asked the court to allow them to join the Kansas case, siding with the defense.

CNN —Former President Donald Trump filed a lawsuit Thursday against CBS Broadcasting Inc. and CBS Interactive Inc., demanding $10 billion in damages over the network’s “60 Minutes” interview with Vice President Kamala Harris. Trump’s legal counsel argued that “CBS’s misconduct was unconscionable because it amounts to a brazen attempt to interfere in the 2024 U.S. Presidential Election.”A spokesperson for CBS said that Trump’s claims against “60 Minutes” are false. “The Interview was not doctored; and 60 MINUTES did not hide any part of the Vice President’s answer to the question at issue. 60 MINUTES fairly presented the Interview to inform the viewing audience, and not to mislead it.
