A security guard has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder charge in the death of a 32-year-old man he is accused of shooting at a hookah lounge early Sunday, police in Texas said. A New Mexico teenager was charged with what appeared to be an accidental shooting of his younger sister on Tuesday morning, according to police. A 17-year-old boy and his siblings were at home in Clayton, New Mexico, getting ready for school when the boy "pointed what he thought was an unloaded handgun" at his 8-year-old sister, New Mexico State Police said. In a lawsuit filed in the Southern District of Florida on Wednesday, attorneys for Megan Thee Stallion accuse Milagro Gramz of “churning out falsehoods” about Lanez while the hip-hop superstar was on trial in 2022 and 2023. Lanez, whose real name is Daystar Peterson, was found guilty of shooting Megan Thee Stallion, real name Megan Pete, in the foot and sentenced to 10 years in prison. She is also seeking damages from Cooper “in an appropriate amount” for the emotional distress and false light counts. LONDON — Two people have been hospitalized after a fire broke out at the shipyard that builds Britain’s nuclear-powered submarines, but there is “no nuclear risk,” police said Wednesday. Cumbria Constabulary said a “significant” fire broke out soon after midnight at the BAE Systems shipyard in Barrow-in-Furness, northwest England. “When I opened the front door, we just saw a lot of black smoke,” said Donna Butler, who lives next to the shipyard. “It was a lot of black smoke, like really thick black smoke, and it was very loud.”The force said two people were taken to hospitals with suspected smoke inhalation and there were no other casualties. The 150-year-old shipyard, about 220 miles northwest of London, is currently building several nuclear-powered submarines for the Royal Navy.

"Further gains are expected if the economy continues to add jobs, inventory levels grow, and mortgage rates hold steady." Regionally pending sales were higher year over year in the Northeast and West and flat in the Midwest and South. The levels of mortgage demand are still historically low, and sales, while higher, are as well.
