Video provided by Transport for New South Wales showed the koala ambling through Casula station on Friday, around 21 miles south-west of the city’s central business district. In the long list of issues with in-flight entertainment, passengers on a recent flight from Sydney to Tokyo may have been exposed to a new one: A sexually explicit movie playing on every screen. Australian airline Qantas has now apologized after the incident during a flight last week. Technical issues made individual movie selection unavailable, so a movie was selected out of a limited list for the entire flight based on a request from some passengers, the airline said. "The movie they played was extremely inappropriate," a passenger who said they were on the flight from Sydney to Tokyo's Haneda Airport, wrote on Reddit. “All screens were changed to a family friendly movie for the rest of the flight, which is our standard practice for the rare cases where individual movie selection isn’t possible," it added.

CNN —Things got unexpectedly racy onboard a recent Qantas flight when an R-rated film was played on all the aircraft’s screens. In its statement, Qantas said crew initially attempted to fix the screens for customers who did not want to watch the movie. The airline said cabin crew apologized to passengers, “particularly those who had complained about the content” and will follow up with them. “The movie was clearly not suitable to play for the whole flight and we sincerely apologize to customers for this experience,” said a Qantas spokesperson. We are reviewing how the movie was selected.”CORRECTION: An earlier version of this report misidentified the movie’s star.

I met some of my closest friends living in Sydney, and most of us live scattered around the US now. Each year, I prioritize taking two to four trips with them, about the same as I take with my family. My husband realizes how important it is for me to spend time with my best friends and is supportive of how I use vacation time. They love to call during the trips to talk to all of my friends and to see pictures when I get back. Using vacation days to get a true break is so niceI love vacation time with just my family.

SYDNEY, Australia — A court in Australia upheld an order on Friday for Elon Musk’s X to pay a fine of 610,500 Australian dollars ($418,000) for failing to cooperate with a regulator’s request for information about anti-child-abuse practices. X did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Friday. This is not the first conflict between Musk and the Australian internet safety regulator. The eSafety Commissioner earlier this year ordered X to remove posts showing a bishop in Australia being stabbed during a sermon. X challenged the order in court on the grounds that a regulator in one country should not decide what internet users viewed around the world, and ultimately kept the posts up after the Australian regulator withdrew its case.

Influencer marketers are moving away from campaigns with micro influencers and back to big stars. AdvertisementA few years ago, influencer marketers were ditching their plans to hire celebrity content creators for brand deals in exchange for influencers with smaller audiences. Micro influencers as a category of work dropped from 74% to 62% between 2023 and 2024, while nano influencer work fell from 37% to 28%. One micro influencer, Bethany Everett-Ratcliffe, said she'd felt this impact on her business. Other marketers have reported up to 20% cost increases among micro influencers between 2023 and 2024.
