As bitcoin shoots to new heights, some stocks that trade closely with the digital currency could also see their fortunes rise. A man accused of murder after a 911 call about a fake bear attack in the mountains of Tennessee led authorities to a dead man last month has been found and arrested, police said Sunday. The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office said it was informed Sunday that Hamlett, who had been sought on a first-degree murder warrant, was found and arrested in South Carolina. “The sharing of Hamlett’s wanted poster led the public, whom is our most valuable resource, to act as our eyes and ears,” Monroe County Sheriff Tommy J. But holding the White House and Senate majority for another few weeks doesn’t guarantee Democrats will have an easy time processing the final batch of Biden appointees. “There is a push across the board from the White House and the Senate for Democrats to show up and do the job they were elected to do,” a senior White House official, asking for anonymity to speak candidly, told CNN. The White House official pointed to how Republican Texas Sen. Over the summer, Florida’s Broward County Public Schools made the decision to ban students from using cellphones and other communication devices for the entire school day. It's a particularly sensitive topic in Broward County after the 2018 Parkland shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, which is in the district. Carline Dumoulin, a mother of two students at Broward’s Cypress Bay High School, is one of those signatories. Broward County school board member Debra Hixon was present at the meeting where the rule was approved, but had left before the vote. Last year, a video of several students fighting at West Broward High School circulated online, gaining thousands of views on X.
