That’s the sound of a wave of young pop artists powering Vice President Kamala Harris on TikTok. While Roan has not yet endorsed a candidate in the race for the White House, galvanizing her fans through her music may pay off for the Harris campaign. In other words, Charli XCX could be more influential in the 2024 election than George Clooney or Barbra Streisand (both of whom have also endorsed Harris). While Harris’ TikTok page has 1.1 million followers, Trump, who joined TikTok in June, garnered 3 million followers in his first day on the social media platform. He now boasts 9.1 million followers.

Now synonymous with British pop star Charli XCX’s chart-topping studio album, the cultural influence of “Brat” green knows no bounds. Last week, the official X account of the New York City Metropolitan Transportation Authority alerted commuters of train repairs using a “Brat” green graphic. Google even predicts searches for “Brat summer” will reach their maximum popularity this week. She recently noticed a colleague was inadvertently wearing Brat green during an art gallery board meeting. ‘What does this shade of green mean versus this shade of green?

Taken by the Princess of Wales, the black and white image was published on Kensington Palace’s official social media channels. CNN —Esta TerBlanche, the South African actress best known for her role as Gillian Andrassy Lavery on “All My Children,” has died, according to her manager Annie Spoliansky. TerBlanche died on Thursday in Los Angeles, the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office online records show. Spoliansky told CNN in a statement on Sunday that “Esta was such a kind, loving, giving, and caring person.”“She cared so deeply for all people and animals,” Spoliansky’s statement read. She later reprised her role in one episode in 2011 and appeared in over 100 episodes. Cameron Mathison, who played TerBlanche’s on-screen husband Ryan Lavery in “All My Children” paid tribute to his co-star on his Instagram Stories on Sunday.

Watching “Barbie” so much defined the back half of my 2023. The summer of “Barbie” was one of my happiest, when I felt truly connected to my fellow humans. Watching “Barbie” again and again nudged me out of an isolation I hadn’t even realized I’d imposed. Once Gosling finished his dazzling Oscars performance of “I’m Just Ken,” “Barbie” fever officially ended. But we’ll always have our “Barbie” summer.
