My family and I paid 330 euros, or about $360, to take a car on a ferry to and from Sardinia, Italy. We booked a private cabin on the way to Sardinia and a junior suite on the way back. We'd take this ferry line again, though we'd likely stick with the junior suite next time. Recently, we headed to Sardinia, a Mediterranean island with beautiful beaches that's only accessible by ferry or plane. On the way back, we booked a quadruple junior suite and brought our car with us for about 210 euros.

Video shared on social media shows the chaotic critter scene at a Spirit Airlines gate where a raccoon can be seen clinging onto a cable that is hanging from the ceiling. On Wednesday, BYD reported revenue for the three months ended Sept. 30 of 201.12 billion yuan ($28.24 billion), up 24% from a year ago. That exceeded Tesla's revenue of $25.18 billion reported for the same period. At least half of BYD's sales are hybrid vehicles, whereas Tesla's vehicles are battery only. Likewise, Tesla remains on top in year-to-date sales, slightly edging out BYD's roughly $70.53 billion total revenue at $71.98 billion.

ADP said it was the best month for job creation since July 2023. “Even amid hurricane recovery, job growth was strong in October,” ADP chief economist Nela Richardson said. Job creation was strongly concentrated in companies with 500 or more employees, which added 140,000 of the total. The ADP report traditionally tees up the more closely watched nonfarm payrolls count from the Bureau of Labor Services. The BLS report showed private job gains of 223,000 in September and 254,000 total payrolls growth.

The EU and China have reportedly agreed to start talks on the planned imposition of tariffs on Chinese-made EVs. China's commerce ministry said it "does not accept" tariffs imposed by the European Union on Chinese electric vehicles, after the bloc increased tariffs on Chinese EVs to as high as 45.3% on Wednesday. The commerce ministry said "China will continue to take all necessary measures to resolutely safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese companies." China's commerce ministry also highlighted the EU has indicated it will continue to negotiate with China, adding that both sides are conducting a new round of consultations. On Oct. 25, Reuters reported the two sides were looking at possible minimum price commitments from Chinese producers or investments in Europe as an alternative to tariffs.
