☆ Beyoncé to appear alongside Harris at Houston rally

CNN —Beyoncé will appear alongside Vice President Kamala Harris at a rally Friday in Houston, a person familiar with the planning tells CNN, the first joint appearance with the music icon whose anthem has been the soundtrack of the Harris campaign. The appearance, in which Beyoncé will appear with Willie Nelson, is designed to be one of the biggest closing acts of the campaign. Beyoncé all but gave her endorsement to Harris months ago, giving her permission to use her song “Freedom” as her official campaign anthem, CNN first reported in July. At one point, rumors of Beyoncé appearing at the Democratic convention threatened to overtake Harris’ acceptance speech. During her remarks, the vice president is expected to warn of the threat a second Trump term poses to women’s reproductive freedom.

But the Suns surged back and Durant tied the game with a fadeaway jumper over two Clippers players with just 21 seconds remaining to force OT. Durant finished with a team-high 25 points to go with seven rebounds, three steals and a block, while Bradley Beal added 24 points. CNN —There was plenty for fans to get their teeth stuck into in Week 7 of the 2024 NFL season. They are the only remaining undefeated team in the NFL after overcoming their recent rivals, the San Francisco 49ers, on Sunday. All-in-all, after seven weeks of the NFL season, the AFC is heating up with multiple potential superpowers really kicking into gear. And things went from bad to worse on Sunday when starting quarterback Deshaun Watson suffered a season-ending injury. On Monday, Browns head coach Kevin Stefanksi confirmed that Watson had suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon, ending the quarterback’s season.

Since an 0-2 start Baltimore has had the best month of any team in the NFL. On Monday, they face a Tampa Bay team that has shown last season’s playoff berth was no fluke. Baltimore’s 35.5 points per game over its last three games is third-best in the NFL behind only Detroit and, yes, Tampa Bay (38.0). Henry is averaging 5.4 yards per carry on the road, where quarterback Lamar Jackson is averaging 6.2 yards, too. It sets up a strength vs. strength matchup, given the Buccaneers’ defense ranks among the league leaders in stopping the run by allowing 113 rushing yards per game.

New York CNN —The economic successes of Asheville, North Carolina and Tampa, Florida, have been the envy of many cities across the United States. Will the economies in hard-hit areas like Asheville and Tampa ever fully recover from the hurricanes? Economic activity plunged in the immediate months following Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans, Hurricane Harvey in Houston and Hurricane Irma in Columbia, South Carolina. But within one year after those hurricanes, among the costliest in the US in the last 20 years, economic activity rebounded to levels similar to or greater than before the hurricanes. My family of six spent $2,677 for a day at Disneyland and $1,990 for a day at Universal Studios. AdvertisementBoth parks provide great entertainment, but Universal has one show Disney can't compete with"WaterWorld" blew our family away. Our Universal line-skipping passes had a steeper price tag at $600 compared to the $180 we paid for Disney's equivalent service. Even so, our Universal tickets still cost about $200 less than the Disney ones. We enjoyed Disney and Universal for different reasons, but the latter was better for my familyMy family had a great time at Universal.
