A Florida man has been charged after he allegedly left two improvised explosive devices in bathrooms at the Hard Rock Casino in Tampa. Eckley allegedly left two remote-controlled improvised explosive devices inside two male restrooms at the Seminole Hard Rock Casino on Sept. 29, FDLE Commissioner Mark Glass said in a news conference. One of the devices was found by an employee, who reported it, and the casino was eventually evacuated out of caution. The investigation found that three days prior to the discovery of the devices, a man was seen behaving “very suspiciously” at the casino on Sept. 25. The incident is still under investigation and it's not clear what motivated Eckley to leave the explosives in the casino.

Two people are dead and at least six others are injured after a shooting in downtown Orlando, Florida, in the early hours of Friday morning as thousands enjoyed the city's Halloween celebrations, police said. Orlando Police Chief Eric Smith told a news conference early Friday that shots were fired just after 1 a.m. at Central Boulevard and Orange Avenue with more shots fired nearby minutes later. The six people who were wounded were taken taken to Orlando Medical Center for Treatment. Smith told the news conference that Orlando is popular on Halloween, one of the city's busiest nights of the year, with anything between 50,000 to 100,000 people expected to join the crowds. A Montana man found slain in his tent earlier this month welcomed his alleged killer, a stranger, to his campsite and offered him a beer, the Gallatin County sheriff said Thursday. A Montana camper whose mutilated body was found in a forest last month was brutally killed by a stranger he welcomed to his campsite and offered a beer, the authorities said this week, a gesture they contend ultimately led to the killer’s arrest. The stranger, Daren Christopher Abbey, 41, of Basin, Mont., who was working in construction in the Big Sky area of southern Montana, was arrested on Saturday after the authorities linked his DNA to that found on a beer can on the floor of a tent belonging to the victim, Dustin Kjersem, 35, according to court records. Mr. Abbey confessed on Tuesday to killing Mr. Kjersem, 35, and was later charged with deliberate homicide, Dan Springer, the sheriff of Gallatin County said at a news conference on Thursday. Mr. Abbey encountered Mr. Kjersem by chance, the authorities said, noting that they still didn’t know the motive for the killing and that the investigation could continue for months.

London CNN —The teenager charged with the murder of three young girls in a July stabbing attack at a dance class in northwest England will face a terrorism charge, British prosecutors announced Tuesday. The new charges he faces in relation to the attack in the town of Southport, England, are in addition to three charges of murder, 10 charges of attempted murder and one charge of possession of a knife. “Searches of Axel Rudakubana’s home address resulted in an unknown substance being found – testing confirmed the substance was ricin,” Kennedy told reporters at a news conference. John Herbert Sawchak, 54, was arrested in connection with allegedly shooting his neighbor, Davis Moturi, 34, in the neck on Oct. 23. The arrest came as police admitted they had failed Moturi by failing to prevent Sawchack's ongoing harassment, following a number of complaints. “But I will say this, we had no reason to suspect that he would shoot the neighbor from inside the house,” O’Hara added. O'Hara said that the shooting was caused by Moturi cutting a tree that had been planted by the suspect and his mother. Police said a woman who was found in a remote Australian mountain range after going missing for almost two weeks was "dazed and unwell" but alive after suffering a snake bite in remote wilderness. She was last seen driving a hire car in the national park on Oct. 15. "We held grave concerns for the missing woman and [are] very glad she’s been found safe and reasonably well."
