The NYPD on Friday released body-worn camera footage from a weekend shooting at a Brooklyn subway station that started as a confrontation between police and an apparent fare-beater who they have said charged at officers with a knife. According to police and surveillance video from the station, Mickles jumped a turnstile at the subway station just after 3 p.m. Sunday, right in front of two officers. When a train pulls into the station, Mickles backs onto it once the doors open. Following NYC, the two Hawaiian destinations that offer the highest quality of life for retirees — Pearl City and Honolulu — tied for second place. The median rental price for a one-bedroom apartment hit $4,500 a month in August, per Zumper's latest data. That's pretty steep compared with the national median rental price of $1,534 for a one-bedroom and $1,915 for a two-bedroom. Two former high-ranking New York City Fire Department chiefs were indicted by federal prosecutors Monday on charges of pocketing bribes to expedite fire safety reviews.
