Located just north of Miami Beach, the Shul of Bal Harbour is in the heart of South Florida's Jewish community. If Florida is to regain its status as a perennially competitive state, how Jewish voters perceive Biden's handling of the Israel-Hamas war will be critical. In South Florida, rabbis and community leaders are pushing their congregations to call their lawmakers and insist they back Israel as it ramps up its offensive. About 43% of Florida's Jewish voters supported Donald Trump in the 2020 presidential election, compared with 30% of Jewish voters who supported him nationwide, according to AP VoteCast. Ron DeSantis won 45% of Jewish voters in his re-election, when he flipped traditionally Democratic Miami-Dade County while also winning a majority of Latino voters statewide.

A man walks past the logo of Gemini Trust, a digital currency exchange and custodian, during the Bitcoin Conference 2022 in Miami Beach, Florida, U.S. April 6, 2022. At the heart of the lawsuit is a program Gemini ran in partnership with Genesis. Dubbed "Gemini Earn", the program let customers lend crypto assets such as bitcoin to Genesis. The development underscores the challenges the crypto industry continues to face almost a year after the bankruptcy of Sam Bankman-Fried's exchange FTX, which had led to an industry meltdown. It did not reveal any of this information to the investors of Gemini Earn, she added.

Chip City has a goal to open 40 locations by the end of the year. The cookie chain is known for its unique and seasonal flavors. Then in 2022, Shake Shack founder Danny Meyer and his investment firm, Enlightened Hospitality Investments, poured $10 million in Chip City to help the company open more locations. Crumbl is much larger in comparison, with 800 store locations, though Chip is showing that perhaps slow and steady wins the race. CNN —President Joe Biden traveled to Florida on Saturday to survey the devastation from Hurricane Idalia. But a White House official told CNN the governor hadn’t raised that issue when the president told him of his visit before announcing it publicly. Of course, those concerns were apparently not an issue when DeSantis welcomed Biden to the state to survey past calamities. For example, in 2021, after the deadly condo collapse in Surfside, Florida, Biden and DeSantis came together as the president toured the damage.
