A CNN investigation found that Airbnb consistently fails to protect its guests despite knowing hidden cameras are a persistent concern within its industry. Video Ad Feedback A woman describes the moment she realized her Airbnb host had placed a hidden camera in her room. Although a lot of the media around credit card benefits focuses primarily on using points, there are many other perks that aren't as well-known and can save users thousands of dollars. Please note that I don't recommend using credit cards this way if you don't pay off the full balance each month. Lewinsky's role at Apple is expected to resemble that of Mahta Eghbali, who led copromotions for Apple TV+ films, TV, and sports and who left the company in 2023. Industry sources who work in branded entertainment said Apple TV+ has been stepping up efforts to use brands to promote its entertainment. Apple TV+ doesn't have an ad tier, but it's made a handful of hires from the TV business that have fueled speculation that it plans to introduce one, despite its long-held stance on customer privacy. Day passes at hotels and resorts offer guests access to amenities without the cost of reserving a room. Hotels and third-party partners are making day passes more readily available to help bridge the gap between travel-minded consumers and luxury prices. Luxury hotel room rates in July are expected to be 85% higher than the same month in 2019, before the Covid pandemic, according to the luxury travel company Virtuoso. Berg said day passes "give people exactly what they want" and provide a separate source of revenue for hotels. And this Memorial Day weekend could be a case in point: Travelers are expected to come out in record-setting droves. Three-plus years of high inflation have taken their toll on Americans’ budgets and, especially, their mindsets. Inflation has slowed during the past couple of years, pulling back significantly from its peak of 9.1% in June 2022. Americans, especially lower-income consumers, have pulled back spending at retailers as goods inflation outpaces wage growth. Pandemic-era savings have been spent while sticky inflation and high inflation rates eat into household budgets.
